On TL-S or 6MT, be sure you bleed both sides of the front calipers (and in the proper order: outside, then inside IIRC). Sorry, too tired to do the search for you....

No, not in isolation. You do need to keep your fluid fresh though. If your brake fluid is brownish, then it needs flushed.
Read the DIY... but basically, you can push the piston back into the caliper back in without opening the brake lines up. It will raise the fluid level in the master cylinder reservoir.
You might be thinking of what a shop will/might charge you. They will usually charge you to bleed the brakes for the extra revenue - it is an easy upsell.
