Black vs White TL

Black vs White TL
im very close to buying a 2007 TL. putting 15k down. ive been looking and researching for months, thanks mostly to AcuraZine. biggest decision is white or black. i feel like if i get the black im going to regret not buying the white and vice versa. for those that had this dilemma what did ya'll do?

I have a black TL and a friend with a white car. Oddly enough, both look like absolute crap if not cleaned often. Its odd those are opposite colors instead of say Black or Blue. Just go with the one you like and don't look back, either way you are getting a good car...

I would say white, I so want to trade mines with a white one... I have a 2006 and the color is Polished Metal Metallic, and it looks dull. With the white one you can at least paint the top black which makes it look nice imo... but you choose whats best for you... good luck

I love my WDP but I'll never buy another white car. Dirt shows up really easy and it blends in with the rest of traffic. I would prefer KBP 
I've never had a black car, but I have a few friends that have them and they say it's a constant process to keep them clean. Swirls show up more easily than on a white car.

I had that dilemma. I chose black and I'm happy with it. I've never owned anything but a black car so maybe I'm used to taking care of them but they're not bad at all.
I still love the look of white though. I also think the '04-'06 look better in black and I would hate to have to decide on an '07-'08. I definitely think white looks better on the later TLs than the earlier ones.

when I knew i was going to get it, and it just came down to color.....do what I did-if your able to that is- at the time they had just about every color in a row- starring at me. I walked back and forth, but that NBP was just too damn sexy. Yes its some work to keep it up- but its worth it man. GL

There is no doubt that both colors will show dirt, and both cars look great clean, but my opinion has always been that black looks worse when it is dirty. I have owned three white cars and only one black one. But I would only go with the white TL if it comes with the parchment (tan) interior. just my $.02. You will love it either way.

I also don't understand why people think that white cars are easier to keep clean or look cleaner. I think just the opposite. Maybe it's because I have a keener eye since it's my car...

i actually wanted to get the car in blue, with the camel interior. UNTIL one day while i was searching at a dealer, I saw a Black on Black with the navi and the tints. and it was just sex. wow, pure sex.
So ended up buying NPB, and till this day I dont regret my decision (althought white is hot, if you get the black roof, black interior, with the navii
).

OORRRRR Scions look like US haha jk. i guess that's semi true, but i still think blacktops look sexy on WDP or any white. Even Lexus's are rockin blacktops (: not sure on what series, i think it was the ES? I dunno.
I was thinkin about rockin a blacktop without tinted out windows

I really do HATE to admit, but NBP on our cars is very, very difficult to maintain. Plus right below the painting is WHITE, and therefore...chips show on Black way too easily. If I could go back and redo my choice, I'd pick up a WDP. Black looks nice don't get me wrong, but the swirls are UNREAL, and the soft paint is total FML situation.

Like I said...difficult to maintain pretty; lots of man hours and $$$ on products to do so; that or paying for details...same difference! Black just looks SO GOOD when it's clean though --> my demise on the matter

Ive owned a 3G in both colors... and heres my input
NBP
- Such a sexy Black Color, especially because of the blue pearl
- WHAT A PAIN IN THE ASS. I had to wax my car, religiously.
- When its clean, its a super glossy, almost MIRROR like finish. Hard to beat
- Bumper mismatch? not at all
WDP
- With the right wax, the pearl really, really shows (Meguirs NXT 2.0)
- When its clean, ITS BLINDING
- Bumper Mismatch sucks ass
- No Swirl Marks and Scratches barely show
Pros and Cons on both colors
I will probably, for the rest of my life, choose white over black. unless its my weekend warrior.
and like somebody else said, i think Ebony interior is a WIN. (I smoke, and drive in bad weather) so i didnt want any light color interiors
