Does anyone know where to get a BLACK Acura front emblem, i saw it on someone's Acura TL and it looked really cool. Instead of the standard CHROME emblem i'm looking for a JET BLACK emblem. Thank you

I don't think you can buy them painted any other color than chrome. I believe you have to paint it yourself. If you do a search, you should find how other members have done it.

And what do u need to paint the front silver area(surrounding the emblem) that uve got painted black

my body shop did that for me, i paint my roof with them and some othere cars i had, so he charged me like 100$ for front grill and back trim with acura emblem, if you want to paint just emblem i know the back is snap on you need small screwdriwer to take it out but front im not sure, i think the same but like i said im not sure, then just take it to any body shope and tell them to paint it black with clear coat on it.

You could get some translucent black paint, and clear coat. Thean clean the emblems off with alcohol, spray, dry, spray, dry, clear, dry

This is one I bought a while back. That was from a dealer in Cali.

They dont sell them anymore but the place that chromed for them was called Mr Chrome. So you may want to look them up.

I found a company in Houston that chromes plastic. I just sent a couple of sets of emblems off to see how they will do. When I get them back I will let you guys know and give you all the information. Lets hope they turn out good.


EDIT: unless you want a black emblem then just paint it black...

Yeah this works pretty good on small parts like this. I did this on one of the tags on my 64 impala, they were metal though im sure it shouldnt be much different.

I thought I read that some members tried painting them, but they were chipping easily.

Trancemission: If that company works out, I think enough people would be interested for a group buy. Count me in.
