Which is better?
I am looking to buy a new car. <19,000ish. I was thinking a 2007/2008 TL Type S, but I want one with a tan/beige interior and that seems impossible to find in all of Florida. So I was wondering if you can put the Paddle Shifters on a base TL?? Will it work? If anything how expensive would redoing the interior of a TL be to make it tan/beige??
Right now I am crossed between the 3G TL, 2G TSX, 4G Infinity G, 3/4G Infinity M, and the 7G maxima. >.< There are so many factors.
Basically I am looking for a reliable car with (in no particular order):
1. Paddle Shifters
2.Back up cam/Navi
3. Some sort of auto transmission (my twin is getting manual)
4. I prefer Japanese made cars.

For all I know, I believe it can be done but it could be complicated. Other members have contemplated executing this project but have not followed through with it due to lack of time, interest, money, etc.
You should keep looking for a TL-S. I always thought the Ebony/Silver interior was more rare than the Taupe/Ebony.
You should look into the new Accord as well. They're quite nice and They do meet your requirements as well.
Best of luck.

Are the paddle shifters that important to you? You can get a nice low mileage 07/08 non Type S TL for that price target and get the lighter interior you want (and w/ Navi would get the backup camera). I'd personally prefer low mileage over paddle shifters (I know I would unlikely use them), but that's just my opinion.

The accord has paddle shifters? (yes, they are that important to me. My twin is getting a manual supra or a celica gt-s, I am getting an automatic with paddle shift and we swap when we get bored. Plus my uncle did a mod on my cousin's TL where he can control the gears better) I love the paddles they're cute :3
anyway, take your time i wanted a black on black tl and looked for six months and had to travel 4 hours to new york to get it. good luck.

Gotta be patient...i'm trying to find a TL-S as well right now and finding the color you want with your preferred interior aint simple...especially factoring in miles and price. Good luck.

The TL paddles are by no means anything special, but that's just my opinion. They don't shift the tranny quickly or precisely. It's the same as some old automatic where you move the shift lever from 1 to 2 or 2 to 3.
The TLS is great, but some of the others you mentioned are as well. I love the brand new Maximas, and you can even get them with dark gray wheels that look bad ass.
