Pepboys site is a little confusing, but here's the low down.

step2 - Shop Online - Shop accessories tires and wheels, Leads you to http://www.1888pepboys.com/
step3 - Go to Brand Catalog, then All Brands, Select Letter P, Click PIAA
step4 - Select Wiper Blades

Step5 -

Find
94065 WIPER BLADE REFILL 26" $8.61 $8.61
94048 WIPER BLADE REFILL 19" $6.46 $6.46

Grand total: $15.07

A "LITTLE" confusing? I tried 3 or 4 times over the last few months to figure it out. Got annoyed and stopped. Almost didn't get it figured out yesterday but, about 30 seconds before I said forget it I figured it out.

Whoever designed / layed out the site should be killed and then fired.

I am going to have my car handwashed this weekend and have them Rain-X the windshield. I did it last time but, the local place doesn't charge too much so I will let them do it. Wiperblades should be here by weekend so I will put them on after that.

Yea, I have tried three times to maneuver through the Pep Boys site without much success. I went the Tire Rack route.

The $7.95 charged for shipping is more than worth the 30 points added to my blood pressure!

I've had the Bosch Icons for a year now (FL) and they've been flawless! Can't attest to ice/snow, but torrential downpours they are perfect from 0-91

it took me like 5 mins of playing around with the wiper blade to figure out how to take it off..but once you figure it out, it's really easy.

on one of the ends of the rubber wiper, you will notice that the metal clasp of the actual wiper blade is in a little groove. you have to pinch the rubber part between the groove and the actual track that runs the entire length of the rubber refill. while pinching that spot, pull the rubber so that the metal clasp moves from the groove and into the track. once it is in the track, the rubber refill should slide out pretty easily.

just do the opposite to put the piaa refill back in (slide it in/pinch, until the metal clasp of the blade is sitting in the groove and the refill cannot slide back and forth)

hopefully that makes sense once you take a look at the wiper blade up close...if not i guess i can take pictures

i just received the refills today, but the "windshield preparation pack" hasn't arrived from piaa yet. once it does arrive, do i apply it directly to the silicone wiper, and then do a dry-run so the windshield gets treated? i think that's the process, according to what others have said, but i'm not totally positive. thanks for the clarification

EDIT

nevermind...google is helpful

Not sure why so many have such an affinity for those PIAA's...
The PIAA blade housing are really no different that the OEM (multilink curve), other than they have they have that cheezy early 90's "wind deflector" on them which reminds me of the "double blades", and other obnoxious automotive trash at pep boys.
And that fake carbon fiber is the icing on the cake. There's nothing really "cool" about putting these on a luxury sports sedan... save this for the turbo civic.
Hell, install requires you apply rainx (included)... no wonder they work great. Put rainx on with your stock blades and you'll see a tremendous improvement as well.

Those Bosch Icons are the bomb... they're what come OEM on your high end german cars now. Equal force distribution across the blade, no chatter, smooth streamlined look. I've had mine for about 6 months, and they're still great... a little 303 on the blade is all the maintenence they need.

this just popped into my head....does anyone know what the windshield treatment towel that piaa gives you really is? they make it sound like it's some special solution, but i'm wondering if i can just clean the windshield with some windex and then do the dry-run...anyone?

I agree, this looks much cleaner

Although they are pricey .....I will buy them again when needed.

You can actually buy Bosch Micro Edge refills and replace just the blade much cheaper. You just have to disassemble the Icon housing edges.

anyone know if it's ok if i don't use the treatment towel and just clean it and do a dry-run? my wipers are sitting in my garage and i'd like to put them on asap, but if it is really important to use that treatment towel, then i guess i will wait

See my above post. It's just a rainx (glass wax). You don't need it, but it will make ANY wiper work better.

Thats something I would do. Sometimes I rather just pay more then jump through hoops trying to order something cheaper elsewhere. kudos to you.

I put them on yesterday. It started to rain as I was putting them on. Not too hard a rain. Seemed to work better then the OEM one I had on the drivers side and the Anco brand I had on the passenger side. Looks good too. No wings or fins or shark tails or whatever.

It didn't rain that hard when I was trying them so I will have to wait for the first big down pour.

Talking NEW Instructions for purchasing using www.pepboys.com

OK!

Lusid posted up great step-by-step instructions (if no luck with my instructions, his post is on page 4, post #81) on how to get the PIAA blade refills from the Pepboys website, however, I got no luck so I'm going to post another way to access the wiper blades (since many people have complaints)!

Step 1 - Go to http://www.pepboys.com/

Step 2 - Then go to Shop Online --> Shop Accessories, Tires & Wheels Online (That leads you to http://www.1888pepboys.com/)

Step 3 - On the left hand side there's a "Part Number Search" area. Under it, click on "More Options".

Step 4 - For the Part Number, use 94065 and 94048 which are the 26" and 19" respectively. Keep it on EXACT MATCH. For the Manufacturer area, use PIAA and change the drop down to EXACT MATCH (just like for the part number). Leave everything else the same. Click GET RESULTS.

Step 5 - Your results should end up with the correct blades for $8.61 and $6.46

THEN BUY!

If you select UPS Ground, shipping should be free!

Happy shopping!! I hope this helps!

I just bought 2 sets (one for moi and one for my fiance, tzakiel).

So far I am happy with the PIAA blades. When they wear out I will try the Icons. Had some light to moderate rain and they worked well.

Where can I see a picture of the icon blades? The oem blades suck obviously, I was considering the new rain-x latitude but can't seem to find them anywhere though. What size blades will I need?

Thanks!

BAH!

So I recently bought the refills from Pepboys.com (see above post on instructions on ordering through their crappy ass site).

TODAY - I get a notice that the 26" are on backorder, so be aware of this if anyone is thinking about purchasing them.

They said that the time frame is from 2 - 6 weeks (which is crap).

However, I got the 19" today, very speedy shipping considering it was for free.

Anyways, just a heads up!

i am pretty sure it is not RainX. If you read the ingredients it is just alcohol. It is just suppose to clear all the crap off the window before you run the blades. They say you are suppose to run the blades for like 5 minutes in order to coat the window with silicon. The treatment just helps this process. But pretty sure it is not a glass wax. It smells just like rubbing alcohol.

I have been putting on the PIAA's since 2004 on my TL. My dad had them on his caravan as well. When the Icons first came out he got a drivers side blade and kept his new PIAA on the passengers side. I rode in the rain and saw the comparison and all I can say is that now that I need new blades, I am a new owner of Bosch Icons. The difference was amazing. I hope I get the same results on the TL

This has been touched on earlier, but don't forget wipers are only as good as the surface they are on. Windshields need to be oil and debris free, they need to be smooth and free of pitting. A good polish and sealer will enhance the performance of a good blade and make a great blade even better.
