best way to complete out of state transaction?
I mentioned this in different post, but figured I'd start a new thread. I've been shopping for an 05/06 WDP TL and as of right now I have a down payment on a 2006, single owner, 52k miles, with Navi, for $16k. However, the car is in NY and I am located in MI. I have researched just about everything on the car and everything is clean. I have an inspection scheduled by a local acura dealership (Acura of Westchester in Larchmont, NY) as well just for peace of mind. If the inspection comes back A okay, I'm tempted to just have the car shipped... I know I could fly and drive it back, but I just don't have the time. Any Thoughts?

Funny thing is...I live in NY and bought my car in Detroit...... You have to check tax laws and make sure that the tax you pay in NY can carry over to MI, which vice versa, it will.... Just make sure. If someone is going to do an inspection then you're fine, just validate that the car is in good shape if you don't know what you're doing. It took me 10 hrs to drive back from MI and I live right outside of Westchester... good luck

dont buy a car you havent seen and driven!!!!
check dmv in both states- selling state may get the sales tax- then your state gets the registration fee for new plates

I have decided to fly out, do the deal, drive it, and then have it shipped. I can get a round trip one day ticket for super cheap. I will also spend the money and have it inspected by a local acura dealership.
