Hello,

Your question is very vague....

Year? M/T or Auto, Mileage?

In NYC all the dealerships suck, Brooklyn especially.

I would go to the Manhattan Acura.

I'm sorry i was to vague. I didn't think it would matter Acura is Acura, it wouldn't matter they know there own cars. But i have an 05 6-Speed 36k. Ive just heard horror stories from some dealerships, like the valley stream Acura, so i thought i would ask you guys. But you are saying Manhattan Acura right?

what do you need done? because manahattan acura will scratch your nbp paint with the quickness... they left mad swirl marks on my car even after I said dont wash...

if you need an oil chance or something simple such as brakes... pm me I can get you someone who can do it (@ a dealer of course, just not in NYC, just out of NYC)

Of the 3 dealers within the 5 boroughs, it's Manhattan.

Paragon and Brooklyn are horror houses and within the BOTTOM 5 for customer service of all the 260 Acura dealers in the USA.

Acura Dealer ratings

DMZ,
Is there some kind of Acura dealer rating system that we can access? The only thing I've seen is stuff like this thread on the 'zine, you know, anecdotal, hit or miss ratings.

While not exactly in NYC.

I have had good luck with Rallye Acura on Northern Blvd. They are just a few miles past the Nassau/Queens border.

i too like rallye acura the only thing is they are not open on saturdays. so if you are not near that location and you have a job where they expect you to be at your desk. then its little bit annoying. you have to drop off your car get your loaner and then you have do the same thing again to get your car back. but i have heard strategy where you drop it off in the morning and take the train in to the city. dont know the fine details, but that the fun of it all. the unknown.

my experience with my local service dealer

i have an 06 RL that i havent taken in for service as yet but im going to take it where ive been taking all my honda's which is Plaza Auto mall in brooklyn. that is also where Acura of Brooklyn is located. Ive had a 03 modified accord coupe before the rl and all my recalls have been handled there well except for a 2 warranty issues i went to Huntington honda which is by my job and hillside honda, but nothing imo beats Plaza's service and im one of the only guys they actually let go in the service area and chat with the tech and see what's going on w/ my car. Chris my service advisor from honda is the greatest, i had a tranny problem with my accord at about 69k and when i took it in for service to mention it to them the car was shifting fine obviously but even before i went on the test drive with the tech he told the tech just order him a new tranny and i was like . my extended warranty was about to be up @ 75k which im glad i purchased cause over the 5 1/2 years i had the accord the ext. warranty more than paid for itself. But being im going over to Acura now i spoke to the dealer being that the rl is the 4th car im taking there for service ( 01accord sedan,03accord coupe,07 crv) and they agreed that when i come Chris from the honda side can continue to be my service advisor even with the acura. another good dealer is paragon acura

Dang..i just set up a service appt for my recalls at Acura of Manhattan, I mean i don't really plan on taking my car to Acura dealer to get it serviced, i prefer to do it myself or have my brother do it at his shop( he's a mechanic) . But I am still interested in knowing which are the good service dealers in NYC... but everyone keeps giving conflicting reviews. But from what I have searched.

Island Acura - Good people, AZiners have said good things about this place with a couple of negs
Valley Stream Acura - Its a 50/50 of good and bad reviews.. so I don't know about this place
Ralleye Acura - Expensive place but people recommend it for their service.
Acura of Bklyn - STAY AWAY
Paragon ACURA - STAY AWAY
Acura of Manhattan - Again mixed reviews from this place... but I'll let you guys know.

+1

and here is why.

1. had my a WDP type-s deck lip spoiler painted to CGP. You can still see the white, not clear coat on the side plus paint drip. Had to take it back.

2. Had him remove over spray, induce holograms, 4 visits to the dealer, and dint resolve it. Finally spoke to the manager Jennifer, on point with her game.

He has a nasty attitude and thinks he knows it all. I have schooled him on many things about the tl and what can be done or cant be done.

They have a few good guys in there, so if you decide to go to acura of manhatta, ask for Ibis or Ralph.

I just made an appt with Acura of Manhattan 2 days ago. Many mixed reviews but its still better than Acura of Bklyn or Paragon. Going in for the 2 recalls, power steering hose and wiper motor.

Lol... Funny thing is that is when I MADE my APPT and probably for the 2 same recalls as you. Mine is on Thursday, dropping it off in the morn before work.

I have always had good service from Acura of Westchester. Sal is good, and has always been helpful.

I also like Rallye. You might have to wait for an appointment, but they give you priority if you bought from them.

Just make sure you stay away from Paragon!
