Best price / dealer in Southern Florida?

My father is looking into the 04TL and he went to some dealer in the Ft. Lauderdale area (don't know which one). Apparently not only were they not taking anything under MSRP, but the dealer actually wanted $35,000 for a demo or used car with 8000 miles on it (I assume it has navi)!
He's not sure if he wants navi so he's trying to get prices on both with and without. He definitely does want 5AT. Does anyone know of any good dealers in the area and what their best prices are?
Thanks

Hello,

I do, but will have to post it a little later since I'm in a rush. Stand by, and I'll give you plenty of info in a few hours.

Ok, I'd hope to have more time again, but am once again running short. The short story is that I priced 5 dealers against each other including 2 in Dade county, 2 in Broward, and 1 in Palm.
The best deal I was able to get was from Rick Case Acura off of Sunrise and 441 in Broward.

I dealt with a internet sales manager named Dave Kalish, and he was upfront and honest. Since I knew plenty about the cost, terms, etc., I would have been able to smell a snow job a mile away, but he shot straight from beginning to end. Since I also know how to negotiate for cars, I can honestly say that you will get your best deal from him, and no hassles or deception to boot.
You can reach him at 1-800-881-1118, then press 1 for Acura, and 1 again for sales. Ask for Dave Kalish, and leave a message if he isn't available at the moment.

Furthermore, if you mention that you were referred by one of his customers, he will throw in a few freebies such as wheel locks, cargo mat, etc., whichever he has an extra one or two of. Additionally, he might have a promotion going like he did when I got my car, which was a free, unlocked Sony T-616 Bluetooth phone to go with your TL (I don't get anything from you mentioning the referral, other than the satisfaction of knowing that a good man in the business is being rewarded for taking good care of his customers.

Good Luck

I have got good people at Crown Acura in Clearwater, always had great success with new and used cars.. It's about a four hour ride from you, but maybe worth looking into. 727-507-8866. ask for Tom Loesch..

I go to rick-case acura for service and find them very helpful and good to deal with. No complains whatsoever. 99% sure, next car would be from them.

AirlineMuseum, the dealer your dad went to was Rick Case. I just bought my car from them and I saw the same black used car on the lot with 8,000 miles on it. Its selling for $35k, but they said they would be willing to deal on the price to get rid of it. They won't try to sell that one for the same as a brand new one.

I'd still buy from them. The service there is great. They aren't dealing much, but no one is on this car. You'll probably get $650 off the MSRP, that's it! I went for the NAVI and they said it was about a 3 week delivery, but don't worry about that because they get cars in early a lot. I ordered mine last Tuesday, Feb 17th, and they said it would arrive March 10th. Well I got the car Saturday Feb 21st! They get extra cars in early all the time, so you may get it earlier...but then again, maybe you won't. Luck of the draw I guess.

Oh, and definitly get the NAVI. Even if you don't think you'll use it much, the voice control is nice and for that every now and then when you get lost, you will wish you had it.

jrapps,
Thanks - I just talked to him again today and indeed it was Rick Case. He said they offered to do 33,700 for navi and 31,800 for non-navi. I know I can get a better deal in Virginia, but is that about the best price around the south florida area?

He also mentioned that they told him as far as 48 month lease prices go, he was told $417 for non-navi and about 468 for navi. That's a $2400 difference over the life of the lease, but something doesn't sound right about those numbers since the actual difference in the prices of the cars is $2000, and in leasing you aren't paying for the whole car. After interest, I would expect the total difference of the lease prices to be in the range of $1400-1500 - am I wrong?

I agree, I wouldn't want the car without navi, and so I ordered mine with it. He's not quite as sure and not being as excited by gadgets as me, I don't know if he really needs it.

Wow, $33,700 for the NAVI? You got a better deal than me, but I have no regrets. This car is worth every penny.
