My wife got hit in our new (6 month old) 2006 TL the other day. The right rear fender and both doors are dented and scratched.

Any suggestions on the best body shop on Long Island to do the work would be much appreciated.

Im not too sure about LI but I know that great neck auto collision center is pretty damn good.. i got my car done once at empire in flushing, right by shea stadium.. they were awesome as well. let me know if any interest you.

I had my previous car fixed at New Hyde Park auto.

Don't know how far out on the Island your are. We are next to the Queens border, so this may not be convenient. They did an excellent job though they were not cheap.

I got my car fixed with a RJ kit installed at V&J Auto Body in West Babylon. They did a great job and plus matched the paint perfectly. They are located on Wellwood Ave.

there are only TWO bodyshops you should EVER take your nice brand new car too...

Jefferson Auto in Great Neck... or Rallye's body shop in Carle Place....

i did not do this, and i regret it and have to live with a so-so job for the rest of the cars life

my friend smacked his fathers 92 Testarossa into a curb.... they brought it to Jefferson Auto.... when he sold the ferrari, not even the buyer could tell it was crashed

my other friends family crashed 4 cars.... SC430, SL500, XK8 & 350Z.. all of them with major, major damage.... two of them, the accidents werent reported and the dealer didnt even know about the damage when the lease was returned

all the rich people i know who smack up their cars on the north shore of long island, ONLY goto Jefferson...

now, I went to a so-so body shop....and if you look close enough, the damage is noticeable..


but, if the car is a lease... who cares... if you own it... make the right choice.

Schuberts in Smithtown is outstanding. Had a Camry repaired there years ago....entire side was swiped by a drive-by crash. Could not detect repairi even years after.

Harbour Collision in St. James. Smithtown Acura referred me there after the entire front of my 04 TSX was destroyed by vandals, just for the lights. They brought the car back to life, perfectly.

Elrich Autobody in Aquebogue (near Riverhead) specializes in imports. Storms Porsche & Audi of Southampton refers all clients there, and Apple Honda in riverhead does the same. when i drive past there, i see countless Hondas and Acuras, among the Porsches and Audis. They are expensive, but i've seen their work, and it's excellent.
