Just Curious - what is the average mileage that Bay Area TL'ers are getting for day-to-day driving. I have been averaging between 18-20 mpg and I feel that this is low for the TL. My daily commute is on 680... On long runs (Yosemite, Shasta etc.) the average has been 25 mpg approx. I do check my air pressures regularly - I keep the pressures @ 32 all round (recommended by the service advisors at the dealership)...

The service manager at the dealership says that my TL "is within operating limits" - whatever that means, and attributes the poor mileage to the quality of fuel in CA.

I posted for a friend... who used to get 17-20 MPG in Bay Area... he would get better if driving out of the SFC more frequently.

Mileage getting better around town, 22 ish now. Before it was 20 on the dot.
On the 5 to LA I got 26.

this is only my 2nd second tank of gas. so far it's at 26 mph. the first was around 20 i believe.

I get around 24/25 mpg, around 345-350/fill, with 14-14.5 gal/fill. I drive 30-70 city-freeway. Have 9500 miles on my 7 month old 6MT.

I get about 25MPG on 101/280 if I do not do a lot of city driving. When I add city in there it goes down to 22MPG. Have not seen it less than that for a full tank of gas yet.

That's about the same mileage I was getting on my '98 Prelude (4cyl). Not too shabby considering 270 Ponyes under the hood!

I've been driving about 35 miles each way on 880 these past 3 weeks before getting into the city streets, and I've been getting about 23-24 mpg. I actually had 26 mpg this morning, but that's probably because I've been leaving earlier when there's less stop and go traffic and heading home at times when NB 880 traffic is light.

I'll be commuting to San Mateo the next few months from the East Bay so we'll see how the efficiency holds up.
