No, they unfortunately don't. But the Accord's rear seatback does!

Only the center piece of the seatback folds down for stuff like skis.

A too wide turning radius and lack of rear seat foldown and the were the only things Consumer Reports didn't like about this car.

Nope.
All of the TL's. The structure behind the rear seat is actually part of the subframe. It's one of the reasons the TL handles so well.

That's interesting to know. I always wondered why they didn't fold down.

I don't find this a problem, it turns just as well as any other car I have had lately.

yeah, it isn't a deal breaker for me either. I've had the car a year and only had the need once.

Even then, I did just fine without folding them down, no biggie.

It's aright with me that they don't. Since they don't fold down I'm not tempted to load large things in the car that will end up damaging the interior. Then again the wife's car is is a minivan....

BMW have fold down seats, they don't have any handling problems. I am quite sure the seatback can act as structure when its closed.

True. However, the 3er has a 50/50 weight distribution, RWD and the vehicle is built around the chassis. The TL is a brilliant blend of many things but it does not consist of the 3 above mentioned items.

They need to make the pass through bigger. Lots of people snowboard too.

Total to that. They can probably put an inch on each side! Maybe more!

well, normally ppl use fold down seats to carry long heavy wood/lumber and cement from Home Depo.... I don't think you want to put those things inside your luxury car trunk anyway.... plus why would you want your rear seats folded down anyway... trunk space ventilation? maybe....

Well.... when repairing our deck my wife and I found that you can fit a lot of lumber through the pass-through. Plus helps when Home Depot give you one free cut per 2x6x12. But the snowboard only fits in the rear seat. One of the things we miss about our Dodge Intrepid (which had about 6,000 sq ft of trunk space without folding down the the rear seats).

I ride an old Supermodel 171, it won't fit in the car unless I remove the passenger seat and roof racks are not an option. That's why the 97 Prelude still has a home with me. On a side note, the Prelude does have a fold down seat, but once it's folded down, the actual pass through is tiny in comparison to the rear seat and the trunk was a bad joke in the first place.
