Hey just called Acura to do my second oil change... They said second service is B1.. that's the inidicator in my car... They want $200.00 for this? Are they crazyy
I should just change the oil myself.. or a different shop what kind of oil should i use? And i guess i need to keep the receipts... for proof or work...

 

I never pay for the B1 ... check your manual and its a A1 with rotation and brake inspection and fluid check etc etc ...

Get them to do an A1 and do the rest yourself .. buy a $30 floor jack and a couple of 4x4 x 12" for jack stands. When rotating tires a good flashlight will help with the underside inspection for leaks etc. Same with brake inspection .. look when the wheel is off.

Photo copy the B1 page and check off what you checked and date it for your records.


A1 should be less than $50 so your $150 to the good less $50 for a jack .. still $100 ahead.. less $6 for beer to reward yourself for spending 2 hours Sat morning doing the job yourself.

Even go buy yourself a cheap $30 torque wrench for tightning the wheel nuts.

The next B1 will only cost $50 + $6 for beer...
