I just reached the 20K on the odometer and the MID calls for a B service. Sorry I'm at work right now, but what does the B service include and how much have people been paying for it?

Inspect tie rod ends, steering gear box, and boots

Inspect brake hoses and lines (including ABS)

Inspect all fluid levels and condition of fluids

Inspect exhaust system#

Inspect fuel lines and connections#

 

I paid $169

 

$86.84 for B1 service ..... vacuum the interior and no wash.

Thanks for the link. I had forgotten all about that site. So it looks like basically an oil change and tire rotation. Over $100 seems excessive for this service, though.

 

got the B2 done 2 weeks ago and it cost me $250. found a nice tire shop that i may go from now on for rotation and alignment so hopefully the next MID maintenance i can get those service removed from the dealer and pay a lower price. just replaced my tires and alignment and rotation are free if i go to the tire shop

 

I paid $169 for my B1 service. I paid $263 for my B2 service. A lot of money in either case, but with this much new tech on a car I simply don't trust the neighborhood mechanic. A plus is that I live only 5 minutes' drive from my dealer.

 

I brought mine in yesterday. Cost me 189 (had a coupun, would have been 219). I'm just shy of 12K miles. I love the little sticker on the window that tells me to come in at 15K as well. That was free (probably not, now that I think about it).

Those stickers say come in come in... give us more of your money.. I find them to be a distraction. Simple rule of thumb is to just go in 5,10,15, etc I am sure they will ask you if you want the 12K service at 15, etc....

 

I just took my car in for B service this morning. $77. 13600 miles. state inspection was $79.
