Senile32nd, check the "Car Talk" section for comparison threads.
FWIW, I wouldn't get an Audi because I hate waiting for tow trucks. Audis are also slow compared to their like-priced competitors.
The Acura and Honda manuals I've driven all have clutches that engage pretty quickly (compared to Toyotas, Saabs, etc.) towards the end of clutch pedal travel.

I test drove an Audi A4 2.0T with the CVT immediately after test driving a TL and an RL. That Audi felt like a damn Kia after getting out of the Acuras. Bizarrely slow throttle response time. Loud, rattley, unrefined engine. Terribly slow, absolutely no power. Air conditioner was too weak for the hot Tucson summer. Not to mention that Consumer Reports gives Audi a "marginal-at-best" reliability rating. That piece of junk was depressing. I told the salesman "Sorry, I'm not in the market for a Hyundai Accent" because that's exactly what it felt like I was driving. All for a price that was higher than the TL. I don't think so.
German cars can be nice but I think that they are WAY overpriced for what you get. The only thing you're buying is brand recognition. That's why when you go to a BMW dealership they have 300 bare-bones base model 328i's and that's it. People want the german brand recognition but can't pay for thousand dollar options like power adjustable seats and mirrors (on a $30k+ car, WTF?)
OK, I'm done ranting! Go for the TL!

yeah i was trying to weigh the benefits of awd to fwd for price differences, I was also looking at the 3.2 but i could a loaded acura or a base audi so bang for buck i would go for the acura. was just wondering if the audis were that great to offset the price so much
