Audi A4 3.0 (vs) Acura TL

If the TL doesn't handle as well as the Audi, that is a minor consideration, because the TL has upgrade options. It is 252lbs (give or take the models compared) lighter than the TL, but the TL to me, has more options, better overall reliability, and I'm not sure what the resale value is on an Audi, (I'm assuming pretty good), but you know that a Honda or an Acura will have good resale if you ever decide to dump it IMO. Also, the TL handles pretty well with the A-Spec upgrade, or get something aftermarket for it, and it will handle nicely. Handling can be taken care of, reliability on the other hand, little different story.

The primary reason to get an Audi should be their famous Quattro system. As FWD cars go they are nothing special. Definately not much fun to drive than any Honda - typical "heavy nose" manners. Therefore if you don't need AWD get an Acura, otherwise get a turbocharged Audi Quattro - you will chip it up to the incredible levels for not so much money, and AWD will help to put all that power to the road.
