I will rely on the forum TL owners to help educate me on how valid this information is, but I thought I would put it out there and see. I have been a long time Honda Accord driver before moving to the TL. The other day while taking my wife's car in for service, the people at Performance Honda on Rt. 4 (http://www.performanceautoplex.com/) asked about how my other car was doing. When I mentioned to them I had bought a new TL, they indicated that they could still do basic services (A, B, C) for me if I liked. They use all of the same parts, oil, etc. and even have two former Acura technicians on staff. Any parts they don't have can be gotten across the street at Superior. For Warranty work, I would have to go to Acura.

Performance Honda has always taken great care of my cars, so I found this interesting. Any thoughts? Seems very reasonable, especially since the services would be cheaper as well. I'm definitely curious...

 

Sounds interesting. We just bought a car at Perfomance Acura from Gary Pratt (great salesman). I don't know how much you'll save though, and it's nice to get a TL loaner when the car is in for service. Let me know if there is a big price difference.

 

Of course they can do an A service, which is just an oil change, and the B service, which is just an oil change plus a bunch of items which they should check when doing the oil change and not charge extra for.

Make sure you get a price in advance, and don't pay more than you would for any regular oil change. For more info on this do a search. Lots of info on what to watch out for, etc.
