ASPEC or No ASPEC

I have a WDP 2006 TL and I have been contemplating for the last month if I should do the ASPEC or not. I don't want to get it and put it on and not like it, because once its on, your kinda stuck with it. The main thing I don't like about it is how it goes over the stock bumpers and you can see the edges stick out. Its not smooth like the stock parts. But I do like how the kit all flows together. I thought it might finish the looks of my car since I just lowered it and added 19's. Just curious to what your opinions on it are?

I assume you're talking about the body kit and not the the suspension and wheels?

I did the aspec suspension and wheels and did not go the body kit. I'm not sure if I like the looks of it or not. I recommend doing the suspension... it's a much needed mod.

with you lowering your TL and the new 19"'s, the A-Spec kit would look great imo. btw, there's a group buy going on

What do you mean by "you can see the edges stick out".............?

I've seen pics of this installed on here and it looks hot - the final look is all in the installation .........

I'm very happy with mine. I did it myself. If you take your time, you should have barely noticeable (if any) gaps.

Consider the road conditions where you live.

The only reason I didn't add the ASpec suspension is because I didn't want lower the car due to the condition of the roads here in NYC. I'm already on my 2nd bent wheel in 3 years.

If you look at the front lip you can tell it goes over the stock bumper. It kinda sticks out on the side. Thats the part I'm not crazy about.

There are SOOOO many pics of TL's with aspec kits on them...you should be able to get an idea if you'd like it or not.

i recommend not doing anything to your car unless you're SURE you'll like it. otherwise you'll feel dumb for wasting your $$

You guys are probably right. I ordered it today. What do you think about the lip spoiler on the trunck with the ASPEC kit? I am kind of undecided on that too. The car looks so good without it. Thanks

I just went with the front lip instead of the whole kit. Not very fond of the rear bumper cover - it looks too much like a add-on. The seam on the front bumper is not very noticeable from stock even though it protrudes a little because even without it there's a seam there. I don't see any point in going with the wider skirts either, I brush my pants leg up against the stock ones as it is. Plus I have the mud guards - for their functional purpose - and they're not compatible with the skirts or rear cover.

The front lip gives it a more aggressive and finished look. Here's a before and after:

THANK YOU! Someone who shares my opinion. ... Makes the car look like a catfish (IMHO). And I'm also not crazy about the less-than-ideal color matches. I HAVE eaten my words with some of the cars on here (Swoodle... nice car!!), but for the most part I'm turned off to the body kit.

I did, however, just put in an order my A-spec rims and suspension from Westchester Acura via eBay. I'm quite pumped!!!
