Hi,

I'm new to the forum, and I tried searching for the answer to this, but had no luck. I'm hoping you guys can help me.

My boyfriend purchased an ashtray for our '04 TL the other day, even though he had said he wouldn't smoke in the car!!! Anyways, he's put it in the cup holder between the two front seats, and the cover for the cup holders won't slide over it. Is it supposed to be like that? The reason why I'm asking is that the manual for it states that it is for the 2000 Insight/03 pilot/04 element, and even though the guy at the dealership says it's the same one for the TL, we're not convinced. Does anyone have a pic of one in their car that I can see? My camera's not working so I can't get a pic up.

If he doesn't smoke in the car...then you won't need the ashtray. How can you let someone smoke in a brand new car?? Dreadfull!!

Yes! It's the proper ashtray.

I use it as a coin holder. It will only fit in the frontmost cupholder slot. With the door slid closed it fits under it.

Turns out my boyfriend was being too gentle on our baby, and just didn't push the ashtray down far enough. Also, he's not smoking in it, he's using it for coins! Thanks BJ.
