Good article; I'm already thinking about this as an excellent replacement when the 3-year leases start to expire which is how I approach purchasing vehicles! My current 2002 TL Type-S is now 1 year in my possession and is the best vehicle I've owned! I hope the tranny gremlins either show up soon (2 years left on the Canadian extended warranty) or leave me alone. I don't flog it but do like the sequential shifter for engine braking in rush hour traffic.

Got my Nokian Hakka's on for the 2nd winter (expensive but great tires) and am planning my spring purchase of replacement rubber. Likely going with the Toyo T1-Rs if I can get a good package price. Local quotes are around $1000 (installed, balanced, all 14% takxes in). Are importing tires really any cheaper by the time they get mounted?

I currentlywant to replace all 4 rotors now (108000 km) as the inevitable warpage has come back after turning @ 83000 km and fresh pads. I want cross-drilled for the performance and the looks but just haven't been able to find the right internet source in Canada. Looked at Tirerack, Excelerate, etc. in the US but shipping, currency conversion and duty really drives the price up. Got local Newmarket quotes of around $850 CDN for Brembos (not big brake) which I'd prefer over the off-brands that are cheaper. I want these rotors to LAST!
