yeah, I like those headlights too, just small amber reflectors in it.
Legal, yet nice looking.

Sorry Mr. Zipp dont mean to ruin your sales or anything..but to those that wanna do them yourself.. you can do them yourself. simply go buy a heat gun or go borrow a heat gun from someone, take your time and slowly pry open the headlights with a flat head or knife and take out the gunk that holds the housing to the lense..than take the orange reflector out and you can either paint them or do whatever u want to them, install some PIAA fog lights in place of the factory fog lights or whatever pleases you, than put the pieces back together making sure they fit exactly the way it originally was. than put silicon around it to prevent water/condesations. The important thing is take your time. And also you have to have guts to do them yourself. this is a brand new 33k car we're talking bout. breaking the lense or getting the inside of the lense and housing dirty or scratched will cost you money to replace. Its hard to find a junkyard that may have totaled TL so if you have the guts do it. If not send it to mr. zipp. i got one question for you mr.zipp, in the rare case you break the lense or scratched the housing or lense , are you gonna replace it for us? in otherword are there any gaurantees that when we send the lights to you that it will come back the exact same condition before we sent them to you?

yes... I guarantee my work. From condensation to scratched lens.
People can do it themselves but many have failed in there attempts. Many people get condensation. I have figured out a technique that pretty much eliminates condensation from entering the headlight. If Vega_04TL can take a pic of the top of the headlight. You cant even tell that it was opened up. I do a very clean and professional job and I take pride in my work.

I noticed my left headlight reflective surface has a crack on it (about 3 inches long) the dealer will replace the whole headlight assembly (w/o bulbs) - and it retails for around $520 (ouch).
I'm not paying for it.

But I noticed that inside the headlight case there is an opening at the bottom, they said it's to release moisture from it... so, how come it needs to be sealed so good from the edges ?

have you noticed those holes at the bottom of the silver reflective case?

BTW..so far so good with the headlights. I took it by Acura last night real quick since I was in the area to get a quick oil change! I was pleasantly suprised to hear the oil change was ONLY $27. I am used to paying MUCH more at Lexus, MB, BMW (well, when I didnt feel like waiting in between scheduled maintenance). AND...since my Acura dealership in Vegas is brand new, its pretty sweet. The customer lounge has windows so you can see the inside of the shop. They just happened to put the car on the lift RIGHT IN FRONT of the window so I could actually watch them work on the car, in the comfort of A/C on a nice leather couch (its already 90F+ in Vegas!!). The techs were all over the car looking at the intake, the headlights, etc. I was waiting for them to come ask me, but they just gave me the thumbs-up from the window. OH, and the BEST part about the visit, they offered to wash the car. The offer wasnt suprising, but I was really nervous because I was scared to get the headlights wet LOL. Well, they washed it and SO FAR, no leaks, condensation, etc. They look great!!! GOOD JOB MR , so far you havent let me down on ANY of your word. I would highly recommend his services to anyone. The $150 was well worth the inconvenience of not having lights for a week, not to mention the satisfaction of knowing it was done right. I just didn't have the balls to open those up myself, and my buds in LA that have been doing Tegs, Civics, Accords for years wouldnt touch em either!!! LOL

BTW, my damn rims did NOT come in yesterday. My buddy @ Discount was all over Axis how come they werent there. The Nitto tires were there tho, they are gonna look HOT! Axis is supposed to provide a tracking # today as to the whereabouts of the rims. My guess is they havent shipped em yet. My bud warned me before he ordered them that the guys @ Axis are pretty flakey.

Anyow, again, nice work Mr (and fingers crossed, so far so good with the lights.)

benzes have that 'cleared' look with the amber bulb. it looks nice and is legal. I dont see the problem with amber bulbs since if its done right you wont see the amber until its on. in fact youre driving so you wont see it at all.

DIGITAL_B:

You don't have to be rich to have an LS430 FYI. my parent's buy 2 new LS430s every year. Nice, luxurious and smooth riding, but boring as hell and total PASSENGER'S car. I drive them often, and they offer no pizazz or driving excitement. The Mark levinson system is nice tho. i can tell you Acura's voice recognition and NAV interface is WAY better than Lexus, BMW's voice recognition in the 745i is a little better than the TL's.

Huh? Making a car illegal is a "GOOD" thing? What happens at inspection time once a year? I don't get it :cop:

I have had blackhousing headlights on my accord for over 3 years...haven't had a problem with passing inspection or getting pulled over by cops.

Inspection of what? And by whom? And for what purpose?

my cars in Nevada and Cali dont have to be inspected for anything. DMV doesnt need to do anything regarding verification of VINs etcx because the car's are new.

I have all kinds of illegal things on all my cars. Cops in Nevada do not give a shit. I have NAV to DVD running while the car is in motion, cleared out headlights, etc. In Nevada it is LEGAL to have either WHITE/CLEAR or AMBER turn signals in the front of the car. And should a cop EVER say anything to me, its very easy to get a piece of AMBER DOT reflective tape and temporarily put it on the bumper should i get a "FIX-IT" ticket for whatever reason.

YEP LOL...that was prolly me. Which damn gas station in Cerritos? My girl and I just quit smoking today...so we were smoking like crazy and stopping like 2x a day at gas stations to buy cigs LOL. I couldnt tell u which one it was. We were staying in Centerpointe in La Palma. Hopefully it was on Saturday when u saw the car..cuz it was trashed from driving on Thrusday night with all the bugs and dirt and shit, and then from magic Mountain and the beach on Friday. I got it washed saturday morning before we hit up Newport Beach and went clubbin ....

how did it look?

Mods are good - to an extent

I don't have any mods on my 04 NBP/NAVI right now (K&N filter and 5% tinted windows with 30% FULLY tinted windshield), but I plan to do headers, cold air intake, change the mufflers or cat-back (except exhaust, I can't stand the sound of ricers!) and possibly even the comptech supercharger depending on cost/availability. I will not change the exhaust itself, I like the looks of stock. I may also get the A-Spec springs and am contemplating getting solid chrome plate wheels, again contemplating....Someone at my facility here has my exact car with the entire A-spec kit on it, parked mine side by side and package is not worth it.

(1) Headlights = Contact Dan (deleted reference-not allowed due to transgressions-mod Ron A)

(2) Nav to DVD = www.avelectronic.com All the info you need should be there.

(3) Springs= Only things available so far are Eibach Pro-Kit and Sportlines, Goldlines, Comptech USA, & H&R springs. Tein is rumored to be developing or now have available coilovers. Also, A-Spec kit from Acura with its own shocks/springs, but it is not sold in pieces, entire kit with body kit, steering wheel, suspension, etc will run u about 4-5K. :bigun2:
