I wanted to find out a great place to get my windows tinted in the Delaware, South Jersey, Philly area. Can anyone recommend some places for me.

I have had my past 4 cars tinted at DE Glass Tinting behind the post office on rt40 in Bear. However, they recently sold the auto tinting part to someone else so YMMV. For years I have heard good things about Cindy's in Wilmington (on Rt 4 I think), I called them to get a quote a couple weeks ago and the price was decent but they had no clue what I was talking about when I asked if they can install moleskin so it doesn't scratch. So I have yet to find a place in the area that will do a moleskin install with the tint. I think Cindy's uses Llumar which has a lifetime warranty but that's a PITA. So if I can't find a place to install moleskin I'll go to Cindy's. Let me know if you find a place that will.

Also, I've got pretty much same car (Anthracity/Ebony) but w A-Spec. If you seem me around say something. Live in Newark...

I'm getting info from a buddy of mine, there's a place behind People's Plaza that he swears by... on a similar line either of you guys look into Clear Bra? The only place I can find nearby is in Elkton and he wanted like $1300. (and he hasn't been doing it long enough for me to have faith in his abilities)

The place near People's Plaza is the one I'm talking about...I think it's actually closer to the Post Office. Like I said I've had my past 3 or 4 cars done their and I would never go anywhere else -but- they're under new mgmt now so I don't know how the new people are running the place. Haven't been there since 9/01.

Formula One Tint behind the Fox Run shopping center in Bear did good work on my friends .. I'll let you know how they work out on Monday. I'm getting 20% all the way around on Sunday

They use Formula One, and their thinking of starting to do ClearBra.

I had my tint and clearbra done at Arizone Sign & Tinting in Maple Shade, NJ. Ask for Jeffrey. He's done many clearbra's and is factory trained. I'm very happy with my windows and clearbra.

I agree that Cindy's Glass Tinting is the best tint place in Delaware. I called specifically for this thread, a current price for an Acura TL all four doors including the eyebrow $195.00. Not only is that a good price but the best quality you are going to get around this area. Iv'e tried different places and the work does not match. I had my tint done two years ago and it still looks brand new.

Did any of these places install moleskin? And if not - how are your tints doing without moleskin? Thanks!

Formula One did not install moleskin. I did it myself in about 45 minutes.

I had the tint on for a couple of weeks before I put the moleskin on and I did get 1 verticle scratch on driver's door in that time. Since moleskin ... absolutely no probs.

xtr does not install them. I had it done without moleskin...big mistake. INstalled moleskin, had xtr re do it. NO probs now./
