Anyone install a rubber liner in the center console comparment below the HVAC/Stereo?

Anyone install a rubber liner in the center console comparment below the HVAC/Stereo?
I routinely put stuff in that compartment (the top one above the cig/adapter/ash tray) like my cell phone and change .. and they'll rattle against the plastic. Was wondering if there was a cheap rubber lining material that'll adhere to that compartment's plastic

You can buy felt with adhesive backing in Home Depot, Lowes, Walmart, etc. Cut pieces to fit, then stick them in, which is what I did. The felt comes in various colors also.

I'm sure you can get sheets of rubber to use, I have thought about it too.

I just use that shelf for CD jewel boxes. Damn annoying that DVD-A boxes are a different size and don't fit. I wonder what made the DVD-A manufacturers do that.
