First off 8000k bulbs will be not good at all as far as light output. It says in the link that they are upgraded from 4300k, its more like downgraded. Also you might be better off contacting ACKTL05 from this thread https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-2004-2008-93/custom-tail-lights-head-lights-acktl05-759299/

I thought ACKTL05 only did tail lights? I just want black and clear head lights and I don't have the time personally to crack them open and DIY. lol

i don't think those are good projectors like the factory ones. I'd contact JnC or AcKTL05 for a quote on some custom headlights. Also the retrofitsource has a few vendors too.

^this. Jnc or ack can customize your OEM headlights however you want. It will prob be cheaper and your OEM lights are much better quality.

It would be a shame to ditch a genuine TL projector for some no name unit. And I agree, 8000k is a downgrade. Send them off to get modded.

Everyone summed it up well on those lights. They will be very poor quality compared to the originals. And it cracks me up when people think going to an 8000K or higher bulb is an upgrade. Anything except oem 4300K is a major downgrade!!!!

Not true. The 8k's will perform well depending on vendor. I haven't found a good one for Acura just yet, but the work very well in two Hyundai's (2013 Genesis Coupe and Santa Fe)

They do?!?!? Every time is see a car driving down the road with ridiculous colored HID bulbs the output on the street is laughable especially compared to OEM 4300k color temps. And it only gets even worse in wet conditions.
Regardless of who likes what, the output and lumens only go down the higher the color temp.

I'm not sure what color the 8K bulb would be, blue, purple? I'm an old man but I think they look hideous on any car. If you want your headlights blacked out contact Ack.

I'm not sure where you're getting your facts from, but 8000k is never going to be a good bulb in projector based projectors or even halogen based projectors.no matter who the vendor is. You could possibly be dealing with some shady business who is rebranding lets say a 5-6k bulb saying it's an 8k idk.

The headlights that are in the original post are made by DEPO, the projectors in those headlights aren't anything near what OEM TL projectors are like, definitely a downgrade. Check in with JnC or AcK and ask them about their exchange program to help with with minimal downtime.

From what people have said those would be the one time it would be an upgrade. They are so much brighter that the lumens make up for the higher color temp.

8000k is pretty much royal blue. So they would provide practically no visibility.

Any Phillips or Osram bulb should be good for replacing, as they are a OEM brand. so.. the CBI,SVS and 85122+.

Well like eastcoastguy said, those would be the exception, but even with those people say the 4300k's are still easier on the eyes in some conditions. But from what I have heard the CBI's are great.

CBIs FTW if you are going for a clean white 5000k color with maximum brightness! Otherwise, the 85122+ or the SVS bulbs will be great bulbs at factory 4300K color.

Don't bother with any no name knockoffs, I've had them, and they are basically a waste of time to even install IMO.

If you're really looking for a lighting upgrade, don't mess around, go right to the 30,000K bulbs.
