I was making a left turn in my SSM/Auto and as the turn was almost complete i floored it in first (shifting manually @ 6000) and hit 2nd gear , then i noticed an engine icon blinking in the dash, and it stayed blinking for approx. 15 seconds ,i let off the gas immediately when i noticed it....could this have been an oil shortage caused by the turn or ??? Thanks guys

When you exceed the maximum speed for the gear you are in, the rev limiter will cut in and out until you upshift. You should have felt this, it is a pretty strong feeling. it feels like the engine is being turned on and off rapidly.

The MIL will blink to tell you this is happening and to do what you did, which was to let off the gas, or else upshift.

the other thing it could have been was the VSA control light blinking--I set it off flooring it from a turn ealier today. Of course, if you are sure it was a different light, then I am wrong!

 

you might need the ECU update.
