Doesn't work (for the OK button) on the '07/'08's. Splash screen hack only.
BigJack75 is there anything you LOVE about your TL-S? Did you test drive it before purchase?
There is nothing I HATE about my car. A few annoyances that I can either fix (easily in most cases) or live with.
And heavy steering is much better than loose steering.

I sometimes feel like a schizo because sometimes I'll hate things about my car...and other times she can do no wrong.
Ever get rid of a car...trade in...crash...etc...after the fact all the little annoyances disappear and all you have left are the fond memories and that empty feeling knowing you can never drive the car again.
Kinda like an ex relationship. Just try and change your perception...or take each little thing that bothers you one at a time and fix them. It's a thing...it's got a solution.

2007 TL
I have most of those problems too, cracking noise, windows, crappy leather blah blah. But that is just little things that can be easily fixed and cheap. I went from an 03 Audi S4 to 07 TL and let me say my TL is 10x easier/cheaper to repair/maintain! You can actually fit your hand in the engine to repair something on the Audi you have to take half of the engine apart to replace/repair something. Only one thing I wish the TL had was rear wheel drive or all wheel drive, but Im just comparing it with the Audi, I'm satisfied with my TL.

O.P. sounds like yours was not done on delivery. You got the short straw. Dealer should help out some.
Re. gas mileage, it's directly related to your average speed. If you are involved in traffic like that near the strip either surface or freeway, its got to suck. Try getting your TL-S fixed and/or GL with what you get next.

some like it stock
nope. the 6MT gets very good gas mileage at 80mph. from TN to FL i drove like a maniac (80-85, with plenty of high-speed passing), almost 600 miles, and got 30 mpg.

Ok. It's been a while since my original post.......and I have have had my dealer address the issues that the 08 TL-S was having.
I had them REPLACE BOTH driver & passenger mirrors (they used to stick/creak when adjusting)
I also had my PASSENGER window seal & switch replaced so the window would roll-up.
The BATTERY also was replaced (16,200 miles) because it failed a "load test" according to the service tech. Well, that saved me $99 since it was under warranty!
The SPARK KNOCK is a common problem with the 3.5L engines, and the dealer said there isn't a really good cure for it. I just have to deal with it until December 2010, when the car gets returned on lease. Seems silly, since so many owners complain of this.
Interior rattles are still there, but that is going to happen. I have looked into some posts here on Acurazine on how to fix some of them.

I haven't had mine long but will chime in on the Brembos. I have had 2 STi's and that is just part of owning a car with Brembo Brakes. Get used to it, and good luck with getting you a car your happy with!!!!

I will go ahead and give my honest opinion. I have had my TL-S for 2 years, coming up on the last year of the lease (FEB '11). I had initially leased the car with whole hearted intentions of purchasing the car at the end (for $21,274). This time of year, and every year for that matter with all the car companies running some sort of "December to Remember" sales events, I am second guessing myself, I even posted a thread asking you guys what you thought of the G, if indeed it would be an upgrade.
I am still completely satisfied with the exterior of this car, it is what drew me to it in the first place, its just about perfect. The interior, my grade would be 9 for styling (the two tone and doors, design, is eye catching to me) the quality.....a 6. I hate the dash. The "leather" is well...just about what a 35K car would be I guess. The power of the car....it meets my demands, it does not exeed them (I do regret not getting a 6MT) and AWD or RWD cars always makes me wonder *how* much better is the performance aspect of the drive. I will add that imo the ride is really stiff, feel every bump *a little* too much for my liking.
I am still unsure the road I will take once my lease is up, if I even wait that long to make a move. Although I must say, that I am 95% sure that I will make the move to Lexus, Infinity, or if I have the guts to...a 5 series.
Not happy...well, just not satisfied- but then again, as car guys...are we ever?

Almost 76,000 miles on my 07 TL-S and I couldn't be happier. The "leather" is in rough shape and there's a few tiny things here and there but if I wasn't such a huge car guy they are things I'd probably never notice... so I can live with them.
With as much driving as I do, the car does everything I need it to very well. I used to be a diehard Toyota / Lexus and obviously Subaru guy, but I'm very comfortable with Hondas now after owning this car.

I'm nearing 30k on mine and I still love it. I truly enjoy this car.
My only gripe would be the interior rattles. Ohio gets some wild temperature swings and the cold/heat really contracts/expands the materials causing them to rattle more than they should.
