Would anyone consider trading in their tl now since the genesis coupe has improved hp and torque in 2013?

Drove a Genesis coupe 3.8 recently at work (as well as many other newer Hyundais), and have owned countless Hondas and Toyotas (friend owned a 05 Elantra briefly). Even though Hyundai has come a long way, they still feel like a "cheaper" car, when sitting in one, and while driving. Non the same level as the other two manufacturers

They Genesis isnt slow and the styling is nice, but I dont think I'd ever go Hyundai

So would you rather have a 2006 rsx type s or 2007 tl type s 6mt over a 2013 genesis coupe 2.0t?

Couldn't agree more. My bud got himself a 2013 2.0T, it's nice, for a hyundai, but it seems like there is now way getting around the feeling everybody has about hyundai.

Don't get me wrong, the 2004 Hyundai is very far from today. They make very nice cars, but as someone mentionned above, his 2.0T feels like a suped up cheap car. It lack many features we have in our decade old TLs. Just as an example, the "leather" seats feel cheap (plus they are optional), a bit like my mothers mini cooper, they don't feel like the genuine leather we can clearly recognize in our TL. I don't know if they are real leather, but they sure don't feel anything like the seats i have in my 05. The interior is all plastic, it feels cheap plus it squeeks showing a poor build quality. The doors are lights and feel cheap when you close them, the sound system is quite aweful, it just feels like they wanted to make a better car, but just give people the illusion of it, not actually make it.

P.S. They do have a 3.8L Genesis, I've seen it a few time, its an R-Spec. Not sure what year it was, but it does exist, and it sound damn agressive.

drove a 2014 Sonata 2.0T (company car), Exterior looks amazing but interior is terrible full of hard plastic. Handling is totally garbage even compare to a Civic or Corolla, suspension does not want to cooperate with steering input. Speaking of steering input is suck ball heavy steering hard to turn, I thought electric steering suppose to be the otherway. Again this is a company (Schlumberger) fleet car so all the maint is up date, but then again it makes me think twice about buying a Huyndai.

I think they got the majority of people buying because 10 years/100,000 miles POWER TRAIN warranty, but again my friend she own a Elentra said that all recommend maint by dealer must be done in order to get the dealer honor the 10 years/100k miles warranty and this statement came from a Huyndai dealership.

Maybe we need an adjustment on our sense of self.

Lots of insecure males here.
