Just got this email from Crown Acura in Greensboro

 

well, IMO, that's just a regular price since the only thing they'll replace is the timing belt. they only gona "inspect" the water pump & drive belt, NO spark plugs replacement and so on.. although i could be wrong..

 

Doesn't replace water pump and it should. That's a big reason it's only $388.

Not to mention plugs.

And, FWIW, I'm not a fan of Crown Acura G-Boro .... at least not the sales side; never had service there. OTOH, since their sales are such dicks, I wouldn't get service there on principle.

 

Yea their sales team are a bunch of dicks . I went up their looking at 2 different cars that they had and when i told them i had $7k to put down they still wouldnt work with me on the price at all , so i just got up and walked out .

But when i went to Hendrick Acura in Charlotte , completely different ! I wont go anywhere else . I had them do some recalls on my TL and i disnt even have to ask for a loaner . Service manager handed me a set of keys and said it would all be takin care of in 3.5hrs , we will call you when its ready. Never had any issues with sales or service . They even send me coupons in the mail for oil changes and other services .
