Man, this road looks like fun, as long as there aren't any truck drivers out at the same time you are. 318 curves in 11 miles. I think I'd rather give it a run in the RX-7 than in the TL because the rear-wheel drive and roadster balancing might be better suited to the road, but either way, this looks like a heck of a lot of fun.

If anyone has taken a TL on this road, I'd be very interested in hearing how the car performed.

I'm pretty sure I was on that road in 1968. We went to Gatlinburg and one day took a 100 mile drive all around the area of that part of the Smokey Mountains. We went through Cherokee Village and by Fontana Dam.

I've been on this trip before and its a hell of a lot of fun. When i used to own my integra, people would hold down an actual Meeting and run. All you have to do is make contact with the guys and meet em up. Check it out.

The "Tail of the Dragon" rocks!!!! My GF has a place in Franklin which isn't too far.... so every chance that I get (which isn't often), I go on it.
I've taken my TL there a couple times...with the A-Spec suspension and the RSB, the car really hugs the road. It's best to head down it from the Knoxville / Maryville side.
The only bad thing about the road is that it's frequented by bikers, but other than that, the road is incredible! I'd highly recommend it.

Though probably not as intense as Tail of the Dragon, has anyone taken Route 97 Northwest out of Port Jervis (the city on the tri-border of NY, NJ, & PA) along the NY/PA border? There's a 1 or 2 mile stretch that's pure zigzag along a cliff above the Delaware river about 9 miles up.

Spending summers up in that area as a kid, we used to call it 'Snake Road'.
