Any tips/advice for a newly aquired 06 TL MT with 62K

Hey AZ. I just recently bought an 06 TL MT with 62k. This is my first big purchase for used cars. I am a little worried about my purchase, in hopes that it ends up being a great car.
What I am used to/coming from is a 4cyl 93 honda accord. This will be my first time working with a 6cyl, 6 speed manual trans car. When spring comes around, I do plan on doing any/all maintenance that I can. But I am a little lost as to where to start. The only thing I have planned so far, as for maintenance, is a tranny flush with the 3X3 method (that I recently came across on AZ) and an oil change with a new filter.
Any and all tips/tricks/advice would be helpful and appreciated. Sorry if this comes across as need for a Spoon feeding lol.

hey coffee addict!!

double check your reading material! the 3x3 is for automatics!!! Because automatics have clutch packs that hold fluid...
our 6MT's(yes, I rawk a 6MT) dont' hold fluid when you un-do the drain bolt.. EVERYTHING comes out in one shot!

if you are experiencing notchy gear shifts, especially into third...you might want to look into using the GM syncromesh/AC delco syncromesh modified friction fluid.... as it does a little better with gear shifts...makes for a solid connection and you know you're in third.

I bought my 6MT used at 30k miles and it has been the TOUGHEST clutch to master.
I've never owned an automatic car and can pick up a clutch easily! however, the TL's clutch proves to be inconsistent with engagement point. and in turn, makes me a bad driver.

Check the suspension components, alignment, motor mounts, and exhaust, clean up and inspect the brakes maybe replace brake fluid, test all the functions of the car, wash wax clean interior, start freaking out about the 105K maintenance, and drive dat bitch!!!

Advice - Ask Justnspace about the rev limiter on the 6MT and how you should not "friends" not drive your car. (sorry if that was mean Crabby One)

Random things that come to mind...
Brake fluid - when was it last flushed? Do it if unknown.
Coolant - When was it last changed? Do it if unknown. I recommend draining the block and using the OEM pre-mixed (blue stuff from any Honda or Acura dealer)
You might check spark plug tightness. 62K is early but they are known to back out.
Like the others said, GM syncromesh/AC delco syncromesh modified friction fluid if you have any 3rd gear notchyness at all. Ask us for he correct P/N for the fluid and directions if you are interested. Like Justn said, no 3x3, just dump it. It uses about 2.3QTS.

Thanks for all the replies so far guys. Flushing fluids sound like a great idea. And I will definitely check out suspension components and get an alignment done. Would I see any difference between GM syncromesh/AC delco syncromesh and Honda MTF? I do indeed have some 3rd gear notchyness.

yes, we believe the honda fluid isnt up to par.
the syncromesh modified friction cures the notchiness.

Most Honda's display this notchiness in third..from civic Si's to S2000's. Every one uses the sycromesh friction modified to cure this
