the 4g has grown on me a lot. with doing a few modifications the 4g TL can look pretty damn good imo.

It's grown on me as well. I was one of the ones that hated it in the beginning. I have no plans to buy one, it hasn't grown on me that much but I no longer hate the look. Plus the 3gs are under all new ownership, not a whole lot of original owners left and I'm seeing more and more with retarded mods and retarded drivers around here. The 4gs I see are still either stock or tastefully modded.

^^i would agree with all of IHC statements.

while i enjoy the all the newness of the 4G TL interior and appreciate the performance of the car....the look still hasn't completely sold me on running out and buying it.

take the shell of the 3G and slap it on top of the 4G SHAWD tranny...now we're talking.

Since I already owned a 3G my plan was to pick up a 4G this time around unless a clean, reasonably priced, low mileage Type-S showed up. Well...it showed up lol.

I test drove the 4G and to be honest it felt too big for me and the styling I wasn't 100% sold on. If I was going to pick up a bigger bodied car like that, there are plenty of other luxury brands who do it better so no I dont think I would ever buy one...

I just got an 06 TL and I love it. I really don't see all the fuss about the 4g TL's grill. It's different, but it's a great looking grill. The new one is toned down but also looks great.

I've always loved the 3G but the 4g with a full Ron Jon set up is pretty sick! If the front doesn't change it will be a BMW 335i (sport) RWD! Just BMW interiors are miles behind the Acura interior looks personally.

I think I' would just find me an S2000 if acura never brings back a coupe. In the long run though I'll probably just grab me an NSX.

I think they improved the beak with the refresh, but I still think the back looks like a Camry. I'm waiting for the 5G.

IMHO - the 4G is too friggin big - I sat in 1 at a dealership and I felt dwarfed by it. It feels too big and heavy. If something were to happen to my 06TL, I really think I would try to scoop a new V6 TSX or maybe a v6 accord. I've got an 07 Stang to play with, so I could deal with the downgrade in performance with the Accord.

PS - on the low....I REALLY dig the new Kia Optima but I just cant see myself going from Acura to Kia...that just don't feel right...

I completely agree. I originally hated the looks of the 4G TL. Over time I'm a bit more used to it. I don't love it, but I don't hate it anymore. But I still think the 4G is too big. I had one as a loaner, and I certainly appreciate the updated technology and definitely liked the power and SH-AWD, but it just felt so big and heavy compared to my 3G. They did a really nice job getting that big heavy car to perform well, but it's just a different car than the 3G. The TSX-V6 is more similar and is an option I'd consider over a 4G.

I definitely dig the new Kia Optima SX, but also am hesitant to go from Acura to Kia. I might do it, just not sure...

... so at this point, I just keep driving my TL. Over 170,000 miles and going strong.

very happy with my 07 tl-s. Just the right mix of HP and handling. Would have to go the 4wd to match it and why add the extra mechanics.
