Another TL bites the dust...
Hey guys I havent posted in a really long time- reason being my TL is no more. Now first and foremost I wouldnt be here today if it wasnt for the TL the car literally saved my life. I had absolutely no injuries and walked away. Now heres for the part the sucks- the story....
Happened late the weekend before thanksgiving. I was in the fast lane on t he BELT parkway in NYC and was talking a a very sharp 45 MPH turn. I admit I was going a little faster than I should and during mid-corner the front driver side hit a drainage recess and caused the left wheel to hop during the turn. Car under steered into a water barrier at 60-70 MPH at a 45 degree angle. Front impacted first then rotated then impacted the driver side. Side curtains went off so did driver airbag. Because the force was so great after the impact the car traveled across the highway backwards and impacted the the other side of the tunnel (the corner was in a tunnel) that's what messed up the back. During all this chaos I managed not to hit ANYONE else. I was the only damage.

And heres my new ride, I picked her up 2 weeks ago after the TL was deemed a total loss. Shes a 2010 C300 4Matic with NAV and Multimedia package:

Havent people learned the belt parkway isn't a race track.
Even traveling the speed limit is scary enough on that horrible road.
Glad you are safe. Just don't do the same with the benz.

I live in NYC and didn't know the belt parkway was dangerous road. Need to keep in mind of that in case I ever need to drive there. Glad you are ok OP. Also, great ride!

Definitely glad you're okay.
I still consider myself new on this forum and I've already seen more wrecked TL's than I need/want to (which always sucks) but people are always walking away from accidents unscathed (which is awesome to hear).

i frequent the belt every day and i see everyone speeding down there all the time. police traps are there all the time.
where on belt parkway? east bound , west bound? glad your safe!
