Another stupid question but here it goes...

I won't get into the long boring repetitive details but I need help removing the plastic panel (that has the 1 red led bulb attached to it) under the steering wheel. I see the back corners have like pins or sticks that stick out so I am able to maneuver the back corners out so it hinges open but I am not sure how to remove it from the edge closest to the seat and am afraid to break a tab or whatever is holding it. The reason I am doing this in a nutshell is I wanna see how those led bulbs are wired so I can see if it is possible to wire rear led's the same way (or possibly tap into that wire to power rear led's).

07+ TL's got those led's. All you need to do is pull down a bit forcefully and it should come out since it's just 4 clips holding it on. The LED is wired with a simple Red and black wire with a connector

You have to push the panel back and down at the same time. It's a bit hard, but it will come out. The LED is the footwell light. I took the little plastic cap off of them to make them brighter.

I'm not sure since I haven't tried, but you can try using a T-Tap and wire up an LED and see if it works.

Yes, they are brighter, but not sure if they will be bright enough for you. You can try it and see, it's free. Then if not, you can get a LED strip to install and probably tap into the existing one.
