Another....I just got my TL thread
Dealer trade finally came in last night. AM/5AT/Quartz.
Wow is this car nice. Didn't get home from the dealer until late last night, but I did setup my memory functions and linked it to my keychain. I also setup the homelink.
The stereo in this car is fantastic. I ordered a couple dvd-a discs. Can't wait for them to arrive.
Now I just need to go upgrade to a Bluetooth phone.
Even though I lost 75 Horspower, this car is far above my '02 camaro ss.

On occasion, not very often. I lurked on that board more than I posted. Lots of good info and good people though.
I had a 99 Z28 and then a 02 SS with the 345 HP dual/dual package. I loved the rear wheel drive and horsepower.
In the end I got tired of sitting on the floor, not having a backseat(that was worth anything), and not being able to drive in the winter.
We have our first child on the way and figured that this car was a good blend of family sedan and sport.

Yeah, I would have to agree with you on those points. I also had Heads and Cam in mine, so it was not very street friendly. So what made you decide on a TL?
When I first saw one on the road last fall, I was like, "Damn, that is a beautiful car!" Then I did some research and found out that I really wanted one. I never gave it much thought until a buddy of mine made me an offer on my camaro. I ran the numbers and a week later, I had my TL (last weekend).
Anyway, nice combo, were you looking for that specific combo or was that just what the dealer had at the time? Also, did you get NAVI?

No Navi. I was a little upside down on my trade and therefore Navi did not happen. This will also primarily be my commuter and so I had a hard time justifying the cost of the Nav. It would have been fun to have the voice commands though.
We specifically wanted this color combo. Had to wait a week as our dealer was able to work out a dealer trade, otherwise, we would not have received our car until 8/14. The dealer tried hard to get the dealer trade since they wanted my camaro asap to get it turned around before summer was over.
We looked at the new Volvo S40, Audi A4, Infinit G35, Dodge Magnum (Hemi w/AWD), and the TSX. In the end the TL was the best all around pick. Decent Horsepower, Decent amount of space, value for the $, and reliability. The S40 was too small, the Magnum scared me due to some prior issues I had with Chrysler products I had owned and the price was the same as the TL, Audi has had LOTS of problems with reliability lately and the Infiniti was more $$ for a similarly equipped car.
Next car could be the Magnum if reliability proves out over the next couple of years. This would replace our Protege. The wife really likes the inifinti FX, but they get really $$ when you start adding options. Well see.
