Another first dealer service post
Ok, so I called in a few days ago and made an appointment for a headliner that keeps falling and third break light with saggy fabric and a loaner of course. Seems like the glue that holds the fabric to the plastic (third break light) shell is bad.
So... I go in this morning and ask the service guy what the fix is for the headliner, just to see if they will just apply more glue/epoxy. He replies, "I'll have to let the technician look at it. I've never seen one in here for that problem before.” I then asked if he had not seen any 04’s come in for it. He said no and at least not at this dealership.
I looked at him in shock and said "You have got to be kid'n me." I kindly pointed out TSB 04-039 and he asked where I get my information to which I replied, Acurazine. He didn’t say a word after that and seemed a bit embarrassed as he didn’t look me in the eye and said few words throughout the whole process.
I hope it comes back with no scratches…

I just took my 05 in this morning for the flatlined temperature gauge (combined with the loss of all XM and radio presets and possible rear defroster failure). My dealer seems to be one of the biggest in the NY/NJ/CT area (Ramsey Acura) but the service guy said it is the first time he's heard of this problem. I told him that hear on the web that this is a rather common occurence. Very strange. Your case is even stranger since they issued a TSB and the dealership should know that.
I am slightly disappointed that my loaner car is actually an Enterprise rental POS Ford Explorer (no flames please) not an Acura. I would have liked to drive a TSX or a RSX. I hope it comes back all scratched up, JK.
