Another B1 Maintenance Thread (price check)

I got a quote from the dealer say it would be 194.00 After taxes

Sounds rediculous.

So from memory I recall Tire rotation / oil change / oil filter change & visual inspection. What does the B1 include?

Does this seem high? Recommend me a place in MN if you are from MN.

Thanks

Sorry to thread jack but, how much does it cost for a B2? I'm having my car serviced as soon as it gets back from the autobody shop :\.

make your own thread.

and... it's easier to just "call" the dealer, ask them "i got a MID B2 Service notice, what does it entail and how much does it cost?"

Oil, filter, tire rotation and all 4 re-balanced........ plus the usual 24 point? inspection garbage they tell you they do...........not sure if the balance was just a con job to get more cash out of me but 2 tires needed it. I could tell from the weights being swapped out and the sticky shitty 3m residue left behind from the old weights. .....(augh) easy to clean off but I wish the dealer would go the extra mile and clean it off for you.

The balance was $47.50 of the $92.00..........

Calm down turbo. I don't believe the dealers are open at 7:30am.... it would be much easier getting an easy and FAST response here.

holy cow people. its an oil change paying more than 40 bucks is alot to. what does that entail? what do they really do to visual inspect your car? i have no problem with paying for the work that was done not work they were thinking about doing. and besides a relatively new car will not need alot of work period. so its a rip to pay 90+ for b1 service.

Our service dept opens it's doors at 730. That's why I recommended calling at the time.

yep, i'm having a similar discussion in my thread...

Acura Santa Monica wants $169.95 for B1 service.

two independent shops here in LA:
Santa Monica Independent Acura wants $125.
S&S wants $70.

btw, where can we get a print-out of what comes with each service (i can see here what comes with B1, but what about everything else)?

Nice link ^

So instead of doing a B1, could I just ask for a oil change / tire rotation? All the other things seem like spot checks which I could do.

Well I guess that leaves me with calling Honda instead, 194.00 is ridiculous.

Ask them for a breakdown of the $280.00 - I just don't see why they are charging so much.

It's the added labor for the changing of the cabin and air filters that increases the cost of B2 from B1.

I'm tempted to do all of this stuff myself because I can't afford it right now .. it would be MUCH cheaper to do it myself. Ugh ... I don't want to mess anything up either :P.

I called my local Honda, they quoted me 111.00 Vs. the 194.00

He claims it should be the same cost and something is weird. I guess Honda wins.
