Talking Amazing Luxury Automobile

Just wanted everyone to know that I'm back on the road after 3 long months!!! I have to tell you, this is one sweet sweet ride. I don't care what the Lexus ES BMW 330 or Mercedes C guys say, those guys can look and droll for all I care, This TL is one nice ride. I went out to lunch with my boss today who drives a 330Ci and he couldn't get over how much nicer the TL is then his own car. To all TL owners---- You made a wise and smart choice!!!

you meant??

No matter how much you've paid, I think the levels of your satisfaction would make you think over if this vehicle is awesome or not. I don't feel bad at all even though I paid MSRP. I have had a few rattles here and there and call on dealers a dozen of times in past 16 months, but this car is still above the average. And, majority of 3GTL'rs seem pretty happy with their choices so far.

If 4G is as good as my expectation, I won't regret to pay Honda/Acura another MSRP and pre-order it again.

Rets,

I also paid close to MSRP on an A-SPEC but my satisfaction leaves be far from thinking about that. I'm very very happy with this car.

When all is said and done a few years after you buy your TL you probably won't remember what you paid for it, but you will remember that you are driving a terrific vehicle. I'd buy it just for the DVD-Audio -- it's awesome!

I love my car, I love my car, I love my car. I used to try and figure what I actually paid for it, but if I figured one way I got a good deal and if I figured another way I got screwed. Anytime there is a trade in to be considered, it is difficult to figure the exact price paid, so I just gave up and said I love my car.

To J RIDE 81;

Yep, it sure is. I have a friend who "treated" herself to (I think I have this right) a CLK 320 Mercedes. I think this car stickers for around $47K. Now at least she got a manual transmission, but with just 215 HP(??) and, I bet, more weight, it can't be very quick. I looked inside and frankly, the TL has it beat.

Yep, one sweet ride is right.

An equally equipped beamer will run you a lot more, still lacks some stuff. I wish they had a hardtop converable TL.

I paid MSRP after preordering my car from one of the first batches and now, 16 months later, am still happy about my car as well. I still enjoy driving it greatly and haven't suffered from my yearly case of automobile upgradeitis.

My friend and I went to the South Florida Int'l Auto Show a couple months ago. Both he and I are '05 TL owners. I used to drive an '02 Altima 3.5SE until he showed up at work in the new TL. I sat in it for about 10 minutes quickly falling in love with the interior. The next day I was at the Acura dealer trading in my Altima! Anyway, getting back to what I was going to say. We walked around the auto show trying to find another comparably priced car with a nicer interior than our TL. Well, we didn't. We walked up to much more expensive cars, such as the M3, which I've always wanted, sat in it, looked at each other and :shakehead, the TL was nicer. The one car which I looked at, and made me forget the TL, was the Porsche GT2 . But that's just a dream at this point.

Too badboy;

I'm not gonna belabor the issue or try to make you feel worse, but yeah.. you really should have gotten the manual transmission. It's a jewel.

I'm approaching my 1 year TL-cult anniversary.....still smile every time I climb in. What a great car!!! It's great to have people walk over while I'm filling 'er up or in a parking lot somewhere and offer compliments about the car. How many 3-series/C class/ES330 owners get THAT response from the general public?

The economics dictate what is offered in cars. You always get what you pay for. The TL, you get everything such as luxury, sportiness, and decent prestige factor, however, its not the best in class for any of these categories. The sportiness belongs to the G35 and the 3 series, the luxury goes to the Lexus ES, and the prestige belongs to the Mercedes. It all depends on what you are looking for in an auto and the great thing is that you now get soooo many choices. The great thing about the TL is that you get just enough of all of these factors to make it all work fantastic. Its not right for some people but for many, its their perfect automobile for less than $40k.

Well said, I hope those guys from the Lexus forum come over here and see how the TL owners really feel!!! I really hate those guys who try to bash because they're defending what they bought. Real sad if you ask me!

I got that, but what does that have to do with the original post about what a nice car he thought his TL is?

wise and smart

You made a wise and smart choice!!!

Has to do with this... If you cannot afford the car to the point where you have to pay 40+K when it cost 34, then is it wise and smart is all.

And if it was the boss.. LOL I would prefer to have them think I cannot afford it.. They might say maybe I am paying him/her too much LOL.

^--- Mickey,3c that is actually one of the things I worried about when I purchased this car. The only way to see if that's going to play a role in my salary is wait and see. Cross my fingures, hopefully it doesn't.

My mother-in-law, who is visting us, came to the garage and said to me, "it must be nice being your car (TL), since you are always cleaning and waxing it."

I told her "Mom, in the last 15 years, this is my first NEW car, since your daughter has been selecting and driving OUR last 3 new cars. Of course I LOVE my TL"

She left the garage. I kept working the MG's QD onto the TL........

I love this car, period.
