Alright I need everyone's opinion whether or not to do this conversion

So here's my situation, I have an 06 TL and I truly like the looks of the type s bumper as well as it's lip kit. Do you guys think i should spend money on the conversion?

This means: center grills, lower grills, the bumper, and the lip kit.

this would be the final product.

OH and also does anyone know how much the conversion would cost?

well I'm asking for people's opinion you don't have to be so condescending lol! Money is not an issue it's call saving up. I had a guy tell me his conversion cost $1000 but I'm looking for other price ranges I'd like to get a survey you know?

You will spend easily 1K doing the conversion for just the front! Then you are going to want to do the side mirrors, then tail lights, then this, then that all to make it like a TL-S and spend a bit of money! In all honesty, why not upgrade to a TL-S! That way you can have the larger motor, better brakes, retuned suspension and a newer car!

I already like it the way it is. No use in wasting $1,000+

and if you do the front and dont already have the rest of the kit its going to look silly...very front end heavy. if you want it and have the cash go for it, but in my opinion its a lot of money for non-custom cosmetic change.

I would leave your front end alone and just the aspec lip for it. I think it looks much cleaner then the type s lip. I would rather put that money into the type s rear and quad exhaust. Just my

Is it just that picture you like with a Type-S front?

The reason I am asking is because back then I got in an accident (lady hit me) and I could have replaced it with a Type-S front, but I didn't like the "bulkiness" the A SPEC kit added on too it. Everytime I look at bforbrian's TL it looks amazing in pictures, and probably in person, but that is probably it. His lights are amazing and too die for. I'd say go for Ron Jon front and then go for Type-S rear.

Yeah you guys are very right, if I do end up converting the front i will most likely get side skirts and a rear lower spoiler. but i'm not going for a full type-s conversion. I'm only planning on getting the type-s front bumper and the lip kit, then probably get the aspec rear because i don't want to mod the type s one on there and of course i would want to get the type s tail lights.

But thanks for you inputs! I'm definitely going to do it!

yeah no doubt his car is clean. yeah that is the lip kit for the type s. i just hate the ron jon kit it's too bling bling, i'm looking for a more masculine and sleek and fast look.

If I had money, I'd do it. And most ppl are right. You'll eventually look for other Type S parts and upgrade those too down the road.

According to people on this forum, it will cost you 1K$+ to do this mod...and trust me, even if it's BOLT ON! It will take some time to fit everything the right way, and get the right color match.....I would more likely install a Cold Air Intake and a Cat Back Exhaust instead of trying to look like a TypeS....

I like that look as well but haven't done anything cosmetic except to debadge.

The stock looks are what drew me to this model and I get more enjoyment out of the performance mods.

BTW, interesting name . I've got an 06 as well with the initials of KN

Over 1K is a conservative estimate:

Bumper + Paint = 600
Aspec Kit (TL-S) = 799
Fog Lights (OEM) = 600
New Headlights = 225-2400 depending on where you get them from
New Grille/Trim = 200
TLS Tails + Sidemarkers = 200-250
BBK = $1000-2000

that by itself is quite a bit! It'd be much easier to upgrade to a TL-S and get 6spd while your at it!
