when i had a loaner car, in both the tsx and the tl the all seasons were on top of the regular mats. but i don't know if thats the way its supposed to be

Your suppose to remove the carpet one and replace them with the all season one's. The driver and one of the rear passenger has a notch where you can clip the mats in place.

thanks. I don't see why every seat would not the notch to keep them in place. why only the driver and right rear pass. I think I'll just put them over the others. It should keep them in better shape then putting them up in the atic. they seemed to fit fine with the rubber over the top, even on the notches.
thx again
thx again

I bought some floor mats from Kragen that are made for SUVs and cut them to fit over my carpet mats. I have done this for all my cars and it's worked out so far

I put the carpet ones in the box that the all season ones came in. I find both set in the car at once are too "tall" plus the carpet ones stay cleaner since all the winter crap stays off of them. (some crap always gets around the rubber mats)

never stops!
I keep original stored away in clean bag on a flat surface. The rubber one goes directly on the floor. My last experience was that if you leave the rubber over the original, they get very nasty black stains where the pressure is put by feet and does not serve the purpose of keeping them clean.

There are rims on the side of the mats which would have no purpose being there if they weren't supposed to fit on top, which they are. I keep mine on top all the time to no bad effect. I wish the hole were on all 4 mats, rather than just two, however.

I agree with most on this thread. It seems best to put them under the all season mats. I'm just doing it this way so I dont have to store them somewhere else. I doubt I'll ever use the carpet mats alone. The driver and rear pass have the hook which will hook thru both mats. I can see why the driver has the hook to keep the mat in place when driving, but why only the right rear pass and not the rest or non at all, strange.

i took the carpeted ones out and placed the all seasons in. i put the carpeted ones under the trunk tray nicely. plus the clean looking carpeted ones will go well with the car when you go to resell your car or trade it in.
