All I wanted was a NBP/Ebony for Christmas
I was ready for my new TL last week. I had my car purchase "folder," my price quotes and I was ready to buy!
Only one problem... NOBODY in Southern California has a NBP/Ebony with Nav in stock. In fact, some of the dealers checked their incoming Vin listings and nothing will be here until the end of January. When NBP/Ebonies do start showing up, the list will be so long that dealers will get MSRP+ for them.
Sigh...
Guess I'll have to wait. Damn all you people who bought NBP!

I was in the same boat.. wanted NBP/Ebony/Navi/6MT .. but seemed to be tough to find in Northern Cali.
I went to local dealership and the guy started telling me that no other deal around here has one and won't have one for a while.. just to double check his statement I called a couple of places and BEHOLD .. they had it in stock..
my point is... make sure to call dealers yourself.. don't trust those sales people to tell you the truth about local inventory..
Good luck in your search..
Black outside.. Black inside...AND NAVI!!!! mmm...mmm....mmm...delicious

I don't have a Ferrari in
Hah. A month is almost nothing compared to what some people waited here for. From what I heard, the longest wait was over 3 months. If you really like the car, its worth the wait.
If you want to drive for a while, Acura of Pasadena will be getting NBP/Ebony pretty soon. I was there just a while ago asking for when the next arrival would be. Call them up.

If NBP is what you want...WAIT...it will be worth the wait in the end. There's nothing quite like waiting for a new car to be delivered. The whole process of waiting just makes the day you get the car that much more unbelievable. Getting a new car is one of life's greatest pleasures...almost!!

If it makes you feel any better, think about those poor folks on the East Coast who want a Solara.
When I was mulling around looking at cars, I decided to take a peek at one. It's not too bad for the price, but a bit underpowered for my tastes. So I asked how long it would take to get an SLE in red with navi.
Then answer? 10 - 12 weeks
Apparently all the folks on the West Coast are buying them, lol!
PS: My co-worker who has an '04 Solara just tried mine and I think she wants to trade up now, lol!

NONONO, don't get one from Curry, because one of them is mine, and I'm picking it up tommorrow! They're putting it in wood, A-Spec body, and a few other things....
wohoo!
Pics when i pry my hands off the wheel. Since there's a snow storm i guess i'll get a good sense of the TL's winter manners real soon.

I'm so excited! I got a call today from Keyes Acura. They told me they were just assigned a VIN for NBP/Ebony with Navi. The salesman told me I'd better hurry because it would sell the same day.
I was really expecting them to haggle hard due to the high demand, but it only took 2 or 3 phone calls back and forth and I got my price of $33,500 with muds and locks! (I didn't do a trade in, so that is a pure purchase price.)
OTD came to about $36,400. (on tax rate of 7.75%)
I'm thinking that is the best price so far in SoCal for a car in such high demand. This is good news for everyone! Stick to your guns and you will get the color you want at a fair price!
Thank you to all of the people here who have posted and given me ammo to argue with the local dealers! And to think, I was actually considering changing my color preference so I wouldn't have to pay so much! Bah!
Now the waiting begins. 10 to 14 days for it to arrive from Ohio.
Can't stop thinking about it.........................

Glad to hear it all worked out for you. I have that combo, had a hard time locating a dealer with it when I was looking too. You are gonna love it! You may want to do a search on Team Nighthawk, let me know if you would be interested in joining.

Anyone in SoCal care to post how long their wait was once they had a VIN?
In the meantime, can I borrow someone's TL for a few days
Sigh......

Christmas came a little late this year...
I just picked up my TL today! I am so overwhelmed by all the things it can do. It was well worth the wait!
