Acura warranty-can i bring it in to the dealership for a balancing/checkup

the previous owner transferred the acuracare extended warranty to my name when i purchased it. i still have a year of warranty left or til 105k, whichever is sooner.

Can I just show up at the dealership and ask them to check out the car/balance the tires without scheduling an appointment? Sorry, this is pretty much the first time ive ever dealt with a dealership. The car is running fine, it just vibrates a bit since I had some used wheels mounted without rebalancing. I'm just wondering if they're able to rebalance the wheels free of charge and also check out the rest of the car while they're at it.

Thanks. sorry for the newb question.

Balancing tires is a wear & tear issue. It's not covered under warranty. You can make an appointment to get it balanced. As far as checking out the car, no, unless the car actually has something wrong, it's not covered by the warranty.

Are you feeling vibrations while driving? if so, balance it, if not, I wouldn't waste the money. Do you know when the last time tires were rotated? There will be a message that tells you when to schedule an appointment.

Get the manual for the car, it'll explain alot.

i bought some used wheels off the black market on azine and thought i wouldnt need to rebalance the wheels since they have the wheel weights already. i only feel vibrations at fwy driving speed. additionally, what is a good price to get the wheels balanced?

so afaik, warranty does not cover inspection or wear and tear items but does cover things like tranny, electrical, engine etc...

go to the Garage section of acurazine and use the free link to owner book online

Never drop by for anything without an appointment- they have cars booked from opening to close and only a certain amount of techs
Use the dealer for warranty claims
Use a tire store for balance tires, 5-10-15 dollars per tire is average, with `Hunter Road Force` balance being an excellent tool/method. call local tire shops
wikipedia for info about it, but if you have large wheels, or aftermarket trick rims you want all the weights on the inside- none showing outside- thats your way
