Acura vs. Honda

Is it me or have Acuras gotten progressively better looking while Hondas have gotten uglier. I still think the 92-95 Civics look the best while the new TL is way better lookin' than the Gen II, IMO. You figure being the same company the designers could improve all their cars.

I agree. The new Accord is an abomination. I understand that style is subjective, but I still just think that car is so far gone that I don't know how anyone, regardless of personal preferences, could think the car looks good. People tend to focus on the rear end being the source of its ugliness, but I think the headlights look twisted and abnormal, and then there's the narrowing strip of quarterpanel that surrounds them, man, that car is just horrible. Seems misshapen, like they took a design of a normal looking car and then torqued it 20% or something. I think the Acuras have always had a certain understated elegance, though the new TL is more aggressive and I like that. I still like the look of the old Legend and Vigor though so I think it's more a matter of the Accord in its current form is just so bad than it is that the Acuras are better.

I think the Accord 6th gen coupe was one of the best designed cars that Honda has come out with.. so what if the 7th gen doesn't look too great, doesn't mean it's all going down hill.

I recall seeing the rear end of a Japanese version of the sedan without the trunk part of the lights and the shortened lights actually looked better this way.

Also, I like the rear end of the Accord coupe.

The Accord coupe really reminds me of a Mercedes. The new RL sketch also reminds me of a Mercedes.

My friend has a white 03 6mt coupe.

I has a good torquey power band. Overall pretty good buy, and the body kit companies are working on right now, AND with a nice set of rims i think i would become just as popular as 6th gen.

SO I give a

But the Civics are FUGLY. While, IMO, the RSX > Intergra, and TSX > Vigor and the new TL > old TL. I haven't seen any definitive photos of the 2005 RL, but I'm willing to bet it looks better than the old one.
