mine was actually on the car when i purchased it. Previous owner must have put them on. Im not sure what type of material they used to fabricate it. i know they dont make them. Atleast i havent seen anyone else with them. Sorry my pics are small and you can barely see mine.

I don't have a pix of them on a TL but here are the ones on my Passat .
I made them out id 1/16" Plastic I got from a sign shop. I made the pattern out of heavy brown wrapping paper then sprayed them. Then attached them with 3M double sided tape.

Eyelids don't work well for the TL, it makes it look sleepy. Most people see this with the prototypes and it never goes into production, custom only.

Polyurethane eyelids are awesome. Look, feel, and install great. Can be painted and removed, and cannot break.
We used to sell them.. and I installed a pair on my friend's 05 TL, looked mean.

^^^ since the headlights are so skinny there will be no light output....hence initially i went with the tint route....it looked so i popped it off....
just painting mine, killed ~20% of my light output.....when i drive my girls 03 Lexus ES300 i can see so much more of the road....and she has halogens

Swoosh's headlights look really good in person. The eyelids go well with the motif of his car.

to each their own but the 3g tl headlights are too thin to put eyelids on but that's just my personal opnion. remember you build a car for yourself not for the interwebz

I don't know about "eyelids" for the TL, but my wife recently put on "eyelashes" on her CR-V, thus guaranteeing that I will never drive that thing again and now have to rely on friends when I need to haul anything that I would have used it for.
