My understanding it will be precious few; I don't believe the 3G TL was ever sold in Europe, so the few over there were probably imported from North America.

All the TL's here in Germany are imported from US or Canada.

Some Soldiers moved with their car to Germany, too.

Yeah, I was figuring the bulk of the TLs in Europe are due to military relocations.

Interesting, I believe I read in the documentation for my 2006 6MT the top speed governor is set to 155 and can be hit in both fifth and sixth gears.

I'll try this.
My 2007 TL Type-S will arrive next week and i can drive on the Autobahn here in Germany and test the max speed.

In past my 2005 TL had a top speed of 150 Mph.

Have you got any problems with police inspections in Germany? The lights are not certified for EU and do not meet EU requirements.
Here in Poland, in most inspection offices, you will not pass annual car inspection with those lights.
I am curious what is the approach in other UE countries, in case i decide to go abroad with car.

With my 2005 TL i didn't have any problems here in Germany.
There were a few changes on the Light but the Headlights and Taillights were oem.

I hope, i can get the export Tails for the Type-S to get amber corner signal on the rear.

Do you still have your TL?

Yeah, but the Legend / RL is about 200kg heavier than the TL.

Yes, I still have it and won't let out 😀.
I personally have clear tails, however I heard that peple put green bulb into red tails. You get amber in result.

Cool. Do you have Papers for emission or so?
Perhapes i need them to drive my TL here.

You can write an e-mail to hvoggenauer@t-online.de if you want.
You can send pics, too. There are not so much TL-S in Europe.

You shouldn't need anything as long as your car is licensed locally. I've driven all over Europe in a U.S. spec car, Poland included, and never had an issue.

I'll get the car next week and have to get it licensed here. So i need something for the "TÜV" here to get papers (Brief / Schein).
The car datasheet i got from Honda Germany, but for emission i'm searching. If i don't get them the "TÜV" will make a complete emission test and this is expensive.

Here in Poland, car inspection offices are becoming stricter recently due to local requirements.
If you have your car registered outside EU you should not have problems when driving in UE.
To imagine this - when i went to inspection office in august, they performed inspection test for the first time since 10 years. Of course Acura passed it.
The problems are symmetrical headlights, no headlights washers, no headlights autoleveling, front blinker & position on one bulb, rear red blinker and sidemarkers different than red.

How you've solved this on your car?

1. symmetrical headlights - i've took out the headlights and send it to company experienced in such mods. The moded it to asymnetrical. The light beem is ok now, however it is still not certfied and there is no vertical setting. It might the problem in the future.
2. no headlights washers - not solved yet, however I'll PM you
3. no headlights autoleveling - not solved and it is the hard part as acura headlights do not even have electronic leveling steered frob cabin - there is only mamul regulation
4. front blinker & position on one bulb - company mentioned above drilled headlights and put additional bulbs in DRL space, I did the wiring and it is separate now
5. rear red blinker and sidemarkers different than red - I had to by new taillights as mine were broken and got clear one. However if I had OEM ones, I would choose green bulb as I wrote few posts before.

Navigation cd outside US

Does the navigation CD still work outside the US? I bought a TL 2006 imported from the US here in Nigeria and the navi cd just keeps searching. The manual says it won't work outside the US. I wonder if it's the same for owners in Germany.

It works only in US. I haven't found so far any solution on internet. But it is not impossible as here in Poland I've found company that offers mod making navi work in Poland. However they want about 450$ for this plus changing imperial to metric and making radio work on European scale.

The solution that I am thinking of might be changing acura navi unit to one from EU accord or legend. However I haven't chance to try it.

They say it should take up to 3 business days. However it took 4 since thay received the parcel to the day they posted it back.
Upgrade + surface polish + shipment within Poland - 1100 pln what gives about 250eur.

Remember, the headlights after upgrade looks like EU, however they still will not have formal certificate and vertical regulation.

I can search it for you. However as far as I remember, when I called them, they said they need the car for one day on site. They are in Rzeszów - south east of Poland.
