Acura TL = bad luck. remember my old post?

This thing is just bad luck.

the 2nd time I parked in a normal parking spot at my apartment complex someone hit me yet again. I'm 2 for 2 Normally I park in front of my garage, however today I took the Z out so I moved my TL to a normal spot so I could get the Z out.

and sure enough...

Thankfully the guy that hit me lives in the same building and had no idea he hit me. he just slightly my car enough to turn my paint into a powder. He did it last night and had no idea. I don't doubt that he didnt know since if he did he would have moved to another sport and cleaned his car off.

Had a police officer write up both of our info and told us to do what we wanted so we were both adults. I was cool with the guy, I wasnt pissed and even while typing this Im not pissed, (unlike the door dings when people leave with no care in the world) I told the guy I would get a quote and call him with the total.

in the end it will be back to normal so I can't bitch about it.

this marks 3 times I've had some kind of body damage done to this TL in les then 2700 miles.

I should have bought the smaller TSX maybe people wouldnt hit it as often.

Its where you live, not what you drive.

I almost never park in a normal spot since I do have a garage with my own parking.

however door ding doesnt = scraping the front end across your rear quarter a good 15" worth.

any parking shouldnt = that.

One of the highest dollar areas of the county is where I live. Just in my parking lot alone there's a good 5 TLs. theres a hummer, a handful of G35 coupes and sedans, 350Zs and BMWs out the butt, and some of the garages I've seen a few 911s

Try $1725 a month for a 1 bedroom apartment (paying month to month) I'm in a lease so its still cheaper for me... all 1425 worth.

anywhere you go you'll find an asshat.

I bet that dude's Bsing. You can't just "not realize" or "not notice" that you hit the other person's car... whenever you get into contact with something, there'll always be that nudge or sudden feeling that you notice... even if it's a light tap. On top of that, the dude would be clearly aware of him hitting your car because whenever you pull into a parking space, usaully the driver raises his head a bit more over the dash to make sure that he's clearing the car he's next to

Sorry to hear about your car. Hopefully everything will be taken cared of.

I do believe him. I m guessing he was drinking.
He has 11 years on me so he should back up what he said he would do, he said take care of it anyway I want, I told him I would get a quote so we can keep his insurance out of it. if he pays up then fine, if not I have his insurance info.

bottom line, if he knew he hit it would he have parked right next to me? I think not.

High dollar doesnt mean high class.

I pay 600 a month for a nice place 1200 sq foot 3 bedroom, rent is cheap in these parts

You're right, you'll find an asshat everywhere.

I remember living in an apartment a few years back and it was July 4th. I heard fireworks going off and was not concerned till the morning of July 5th when I walked out to my car and saw some time of fireworks that had not properly gone off till it landed on roof my my new Porsche 930, burning a spot all the way through the paint, now that sux and I did loose my cool but there was nobody to go after.

If he was drinking, i'm positive that he still would've noticed touching your car and furthermore: if he was drinking, he wouldn't be aware enough as to park somewhere else.. his stupid move.

He *might* be BS-ing, but I'd give the benefit of the doubt on this one. The scrape is pretty light, and I've seen people do the same thing, completely oblivious to the fact that they made contact with another car. I saw someone at work hit another car, and I ended up leaving a note.

As for door dings, I've had a guy literally slam his door into my fender (with me sitting in the car), and walk into a store. I followed him in and confronted him, but it was pretty pointless. I got a business card and didn't take it any further. It was right on the wheelwell, too.

WTF? That parking spot is hella huge. I am surprised his car actually swiped your car. No skills whatsoever...

Or maybe he was admiring how nice our TL's are while pulling into the parking spot (whether it's day or night, it still looks damn fione) and while in the process of trying to get a closer look at its sexy body, accidentally hit your vehicle...=)

By the way, doesn't that Pontiac have the same styled exhaust tips as ours?

It's big because it's the 2nd to last spot, the spot to the left is next to the curb and the same guy always parks there, he makes a point to park right on the curb so it gives that 2nd lane a bigger spot. That's why I parked there.

still no luck on my part.

parking lots all suck. I love it when i park my car far enough away to not have anyone near me, and some cock sucker in a taurus still manages to park close by.
