Acura Rattle Expert
Is there such a thing?
If there isn't, it would be a wise investment for Acura to have a designated expert who dealers could call to direct them in proper fixes for rattles.
As an alternative perhaps this person/team could go from dealer to dealer and hold rattle repair clinics for those who have rattles - I'm sure the dealers know who we are so setting it up would be easy and would be well attended.

My dealer has a supposed expert, but he hasn't worked on my car, I find this pretty amazing since it's now in for the 5th time for extreme rattle problems.
The beat up 2003 3.2TL loaner doesn't make a peep and doesn't vibrate... unfortunately it's got an ugly interior and once you've had 270hp the standard 225hp is utterly weak and boring. But it was damn nice to drive to work this morning without having to drown out the damn rattles!

My experience with a 2003 3.2TL loaner was exactly the same as yours. Although I like the new styling and sound system more, the '03 was super quiet and rattle free. I even took it from New Jersey to Boston and the mileage was low 30's. However, I did miss my car and was glad to get it back.

I really like my 04 as well, but my early vin 99 TL was as tight as the proverbial drum. It didn't even enter my head to be concerned with early vin 04s for quality control issues, based on my past experience with Acura and Accord.
My dealer is very attentive, but they haven't a clue how to fix any of the rattles, and have expressed their reluctance to probe very deeply from fear of wrecking things or making it worse.
Without the help of tech notes or experienced assistance they're not going to be able to fix them, making this wonderful car a pain in the a$$.
