Thumbs up Acura just called, new tires are in!

This Thursday my car gets new tires, hopefully this will solve the problem and not perpetuate it.

I'm crossing my fingers!

I hope so, a lot of the time I worry what will be broken when a service department fixes things. These guys have been good so we'll see what happens.

Has anyone had the new el42s put on their TL? If so, any noticeable difference? I am scheduled to get them Thurs but I'm considering trying to swap out and pay the difference. I'd have to take the tires somewhere else and do this on my own. . . . . Help!

I would never dare put EL42 or any bridgestone/firestone on my car again even if they paid me. I am going to take the hit and buy Michelin Piolets and then when the lease is over I will wave the invoice in the sales managers face when its time to re-negotiate on the next lease in 3 years. So I may lose money now but in the long run- Acura will have to lower their price on the next lease for making me suffer with crap EL42's if they expect me to consider leasing an Acura again. I always win in the end.

Nicki,

Save your money and put on the Falken ZIEX 512's. That's what I'm doing when the time comes. They're about ½ the price of the Michelins and rated better and quietier by Consumer Reports. $115 each (+ Tax of course) mounted, balanced, & installed at Cosmos Tire in Long Island City. 718-545-7484 .

Nicki,

I agree, however at the price these things (TL's) go for, I want them to try and fix it before I shell out my hard earned money.

I refuse to make it easy for them.
