wow, i'm 27, and i just bought my very first car (TSX). ya i know, i'm in the wrong forum, but i think i can relate to this thread...

i think honda's, nissan's, and toyota's are all great brands. i just find that hondas offer a fuller package than the others.

i can see myself being a honda owner for life, no doubt about it...

Back in 1982 (I'm showing my age!), I purchased my first brand new car, a Pontiac Firebird. What a mistake that was! In the shop, more than it was out. One day at work, a friend had bought a Honda Accord and just loved it and went on and on about how reliable it was and never had any problems at all. That was all I needed to hear because I was so tired of taking my car in for repairs! So, even though I was upside down with that GM rattletrap, I purchased my first Honda, a 1986 Honda Accord DX. It was a great car and since have never looked back (except for one detour with a Nissan).

Here is my list:

1986 Honda Accord DX
1992 Honda Accord EX
1994 Acura Integra Special Edition
1996 Nissan Maxima
1999 Acura 3.2TL
2004 Acura TL

With such reliability with Honda products, I find it very difficult to drive anything else. GM scared me off and would never go back to an American automobile product!

Thumbs up I love Honda/Acura

This is my xth Honda/Acura:

1984 Prelude
1989 Prelude
1992 Prelude
2005 TL

I LOVED all of them. I was particularly fond of my '92 Prelude since it was the first "real" car I bought after college (paid over $10k for it).

The TL is the first new car I ever bought (unfortunately was rear-ended and my 92 'lude died). I did buy my wife a 2002 Explorer new, but I don't drive that every day.

Honda's are rock solid and seem to last a LONG time. I had 150k on my 92 Prelude and it seemed like it would have lasted forever.

Can not decide for the life of me which I loved most... like having multiple kids... you can't pick one over the other!

1991 Honda Accord (first car)
1996 Integra (wife - gf at the time)
1997 CL (first car I paid for myself!)
2003 MDX (wife)
2003 TL (dad)
2005 TL

P.S. I put my wife's cars in since I drove them as much as she did and my dad's since I drove it cross country and was so impressed I had to buy one for myself!)

I am a loyalist, but I also have feelings for other Marques, particularly BMW (gasp!)

I have owned the following Hondas:

1987 Legend L/5MT
1988 Legend L/5MT
1993 NSX (still have)
2004 TL (still have)

My sister had a 1987 Legend auto and now has a late 90s Civic.

My father had a 1991 Accord, bought new and sold with 220k miles in 1999.
He now has a 2000 RL.

My mom currently drives a 1994 Legend. She used to have a 1993 Legend and the 1987 Legend my sister drove in HS.

The TL is my daily driver and kind of the red-headed stepchild of my garage. It is a great car, but the NSX is what I really love.

I don't consider myself a Honda loyalist but growing up in California one can not help becoming "a car guy". But we did buy the first 1986 Legend V6 off the boat. Saw it at the LA show and could not believe it could be had for the bargain $15K. Loved that Legend, put 220K miles on it , troublefree except for the AT going out at 80K. So it has a history of maybe shaky AT design way back then.!! Trying to sell it in 99 only brought insulting $ offers. This so angered my wife that she decided to donate it to charity-which we did. Also loved my 92 Maxima SE, strong V6 and super reliable, served us right till we sold it with 130K miles in 2002. And then there was that V6 Passat, another super car with a great ride which we sold and replaced with the best allround car for the $$$- the 2004 TL which IMHO got to be the best looking design to come out of these California studios. Happy motoring!!

Gotta love Hondas. We got an 04 Odyssey and a 02 TL-S. And before that 2 different RLs, Honda Accord, a Chrystler Van (whoops big time ), and some really crazy Honda mini-van that I can't remember well. Hondas are where it's at

Not one acura, but if the next gen CL is anything like the 3g TL, I'd have to consider it.

I have been a car nut for as long as I can remember and no car ever caught my attention like the current TL. I can remember the first 04 that passed me on the road. It was all a blur and I had no idea what kind of car it was but I just had to find out. It was the first car I ever “instantly” fell in love with.

For the most part the past 10 years I have owned all Honda cars (well except for one 01 Jeep Grand Cherokee that was the biggest mistake I have ever made automobile wise), and currently own a 99 Accord that I use for work. Acura never caught my eye until the 04 TL. My main curiosity is are the current generation TL owners previous Acura/Honda loyalist or did the new TL bring you into the Acura/Honda family?
I've been driving Honda's since '86, my first was an 86 LXi hatchback, and it was a monster then..I've been the owner of Accords, '91 Prelude (1), '93 Civixs (x2), '99 Accord, and now a '04 TL. Design, performance, value are the hallmark of Honda/Acura.
