nope, I think they are still under construction since china never had Acura's for sale before. Buying a TL there is not cheap compare to what we pay here in the US. The tailights you want to get might cost you a few hundred USD at least.

I heard driving in China is crazy and having a nice car there isn't worth the risk or price. Also, the roads are generally bad, right? Has anyone driven in China or owned a car there?

Good luck! Car companies usually frown on part transfers from one country to another, since China operations would be infringing on USA's turf. Also having lived in China for a few years, aftersales service is a joke for just about any product sold there. The concept of warranties and a parts warehouse is nearly nonexistant, probably because most of the products available to the locals are throw-away junk (they export the better stuff).

i don't know what pettydw is talking about. i live in Beijing right now, my roommate actually owns a 2004 BMW 318i. He took me to the dealership center, where they had every major car company dealership. I even saw the brand new Acura dealership there with the new TL and RL was displayed in the showroom.
As a matter of fact, my roommate was taking his car to service department to get certain things fixed under warranty. Even though the roads are bad in Beijing, it doesn't stop people from buying ferraris, bentleys. and other exotics which i have seen plenty of here in the past 4 months.
If i do get a chance to go back to the dealership mall I will stop by the Acura dealership and ask about the price of spare tailights, but my chinese is very limited, hopefully i can ask my roommate to ask them instead.

There are a bunch of Ferrari and Porsche vehicles in Shanghai as there's a dealership on Wuaihai Lu and also some Hummers. Tons of BMW 7 series as well as the Audi A8s. Driving isn't so bad, just basically no laws, just more like guidelines on saying you should stay on your side of the road.
It's not dissimilar to Italy really. But more hectic if you're not used to it as you have to deal with bicycles, motorscooters, buses and pedestrians at the same time.

For those who can afford Ferraris, Porchses, BMW 7s or A8s in China, they must be really well off, considering the average wage earner in China makes only a small fraction of what we make here in the States. Well, I guess people want to SHOW OFF their new fortunes, esp. in big cities like Beijing and Shanghai where capitalism is alive and well respected.
No motor vehicle laws in China? Does that also mean no tickets or points? I live in Gotham, but I cannot imagine or compare the traffic conditions here to rush hour traffic in Shanghai or other major cities in China, which I believe may well be MUCH WORSE.

its really scary to drive in china I tell that. when you drive on the street, you have to watch out for people. they can show up in front of you out of no where since they never look out for cars. l

Are they NOT afraid of getting killed or severely injured? I guess they are tempting the drivers to run them over, in hopes of collecting on insurance. BTW, how expensive is it to insure a car (for liability) in China? My guess is it cannot be as expensive as here in Gotham, but maybe around half of what people in Alaska or Montana pays.
