accord fogs on '05 TL HELP!!

i recently spoke to this ebay seller over the phone to confirm if these fog lights had glass lenses:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...ht_2241wt_1167

they do, have glass lenses, however... when i asked the rep if they'd be able to handle an HID system, he said no because they won't be able to take the heat put out by the HIDs.

is this true? from my experience, HIDs burn a lot cooler than traditional halogen bulbs, so why would there be a problem? i wanted to get away from the normal yellow light because i personally don't like it. i wanted to go with something a little whiter to match the color of the headlights. they do have those white halogen bulbs, but from what i've seen they all have higher wattage than the yellow halogens and HID bulbs.

any input?

I'd say if you ran a 35W HID kit, then everything should be groovy

on my old prelude, the lens wasn't the issue, it was the rest of the housing. Therefore, I bought a 35W hid kit for it. Get a 35W from DDMtuning (get a thumbs up from everyone! only bad thing is the wait time).

thanks, guys. that's what i thought. majority of halogen bulbs have a wattage higher than HIDs, so in my head i was thinking, "how can they take halogens, but not HIDs especially if they burn cooler??"

cokinut - your housing was okay with the 35w kit? no melting or anything?

how about the vendor on a-zine selling hid kits for $60?? that's a DEAL. i'd jump on that right away, only thing is i don't know the bulb size for the fogs. the rep i spoke to didn't seem to know either. my guess is H11 since the actual OEM accord fogs take those.
