ABP TL caliper paint?
Hey guys, I painted my calipers blue with duplicolor engine paint. needless to say even though it was high temp paint, it still got messed up. I want to repaint them, but wanted to see if anyone painted their calipers to match their ABP TL. I want to stay away from red.
The engine paint I bought was close, yet so far away. . I want a paint that will look 99/100 close. I saw the duplicolor kit blue for like $20, or e-tech blue but not sure how well either will match and then there is the g2 blue pearl ($100 that's a lot of ) which looks spot on, but don't really want to spend that much as it's my everyday car not a show car
but anyways, in the end looking to see who w ABP did their calipers to match their car.

You've made 12 threads since September 10. Stop it
In all seriousness I've never seen an ABP with color matched calipers. Do you have Brembos? If so, color matched would look great. If not, just paint them black or get the 2G RDX caliper covers.

I'm just giving you a hard time
I don't think the stock brakes are pretty by any means so I wouldn't want to draw attention to them. Then again ABP is a dark color so you might be able to pull it off.

they might brake if you try and remove them from the breaks after they're glued.
why would you want to remove them afterwards anyway? just leave them on!

OP, your calipers turned out badly, because it looks like poor prep work.
it doesnt look like heat got to them.
it looks like the paint didnt stick to the surface and or you didnt let them dry long enough.
P.S. that blue DOES NOT match ABP.
and it looks like poop
The ONLY advice I can give is to STOP MODDING.
have a plan or end goal for your car, Dont just do dumb stuff for the sake of doing dumb stuff

Actually it was prepped correctly. It's not chipped or peeling. There are white spots from either the heat or from the eagle one all in one cleaner I use. Prep work has nothing to do with what happened. And I obviously see the paint isn't close to ABP which is why I asked. Thanks for ur advice tho bud. I'll stop doing things cuz I painted the calipers. Lol sorry not everyone has brembos or wants to dish out a ton of money for a BBK
